Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
Today’s question is:
What are you and/or your children dressing up as for Halloween?

I am not dressing up, party pooper I know!
My oldest is not sure yet, middle son is going as Jack Sparrow and the baby is going as a Parot!
Can’t believe Halloween will be here in a few weeks, where did the year go???
My son will be dressing up as a tiger.
I’ll be dressing up as an evil father, which doesn’t take that much to do
We never celebrated Halloween growing up and now with my own family I have just carried on that tradition. However, I think it would be fun to dress up in a costume! lol If we celebrated I think my son would love to be a superhero of some kind!
My children are grown and we don’t celebrate Halloween.
Halloween is not celebrated in Australia like it is in the States. I do miss trick-or-treaters coming. I always enjoy handing out candy.
My son will be Thomas the Tank Engine this coming Halloween.
Ooooh haven’t thought that far yet…and I have no requests yet from the eldest…. I don’t think I will be dressing up.
My daughter is going to be tinkerbell and my son is going to be Peter Pan. I wanted me and my friends to dress up as the Fanta girls but they’re party poopers
A mad scientist and a ninja!
I am going to be pippi longstocking and my daughter will be a witch, she loves to carry a broom! Stop by my Aloha Friday for a little sweet question.
I love Halloween! My kids are grown and they still dress up. I’m making myself an awesome cape this year and my oldest grandson age 8 is having a Halloween party at my house. So fun!! My grandkids are going to be The Thing from Fantastic 4, Scooby Doo and Anakin Skywalker. (after he goes bad but before he becomes Darth Vader, is what he said.)
Em is going to be Jasmine and Livie is going to be Sleeping Beauty. The girls want me to dress up, but I haven’t fully decided if I’m going to or not.
My son is dressing up as a skeleton. His twin sister cannot decide what to be. She wants to be a princess but she also wants to be something scary. Hopefully, she will decide soon.
I don’t usually dress up for Halloween. My son doesn’t know what he wants to be for sure, he just knows that he wants a scary costume!
My daughter wants to be Stephanie from Lazy Town. No one will know what she’s dressed as, though, so I’m trying to talk her into wearing the Tinkerbell costume I got from HalloweenPartyStore.com. No luck so far!
I am not going to dress up in a costume, I did that when I was teaching. Now I will wear a Halloween shirt and my crazy socks/earrings.
My oldest son selected a new costume. He is going to be a doctor with cool scrubs and a lab coat. The little guy is using a recycles costume and is going to be Mickey Mouse (assuming it fits).
Have a great weekend Kailani!
Lily is going to be Belle. Aubrie will be Carmen Miranda (sp?).
i’m not dressing up, but Bubby is going to be a skeleton. i can’t wait!
We don’t dress up, however; we are getting several pumpkins today and we will carve these. This should be fun! Then we bake the seeds and eat them!! Yummy.
I don’t dress up – leave that up to the kids.
Becca is going to be Minnie Mouse (thank you, Halloween Party Store!), Hannah is hopefully going to wear her cheerleading uniform, if we get it in time, and Abby wants to be an angel. I’m having a horrible time finding an affordable, decent quality angel costume though. Witches and devils are everywhere – angels, not so much. Sad, huh!
My little one is going to be tigger. His brother was Pooh Bear when he was a baby so now we will have Tigger also. I don’t know what the older one will be this year. Every year he want’s to be a dinosaur but each year it gets harder and harder to find a different dinosaur costume.
I am a dude and don’t dress up….
I don’t dress up either, maybe some Halloween I will, but Kevin is planning on going as Batman and Katie will be Robin!
Hi Kailani!
The boys have deemed themselves too old to dress up anymore. *sigh* I used to LOVE to take them costume shopping.
Ah well, we’ll just stay home and hand out treats to the little ones.
Just the kids are dressing up this year. My daughter is going as a soccer player and my two year-old son is dressing up as a dinosaur–Rawr.
Halloween’s not that big here in the Philippines except for kids. I’m not dressing up as anyone but would love to see what my nephews and niece come up with.
Everyone except my hubby dresses up!
Even the dogs.
My son will be The Man In The Yellow Hat (he has a monkey packpack that he’ll wear to be George) and I might dress up as Dr. Wiseman if I can find a good labcoat.
My son is being a knight and my daughter is going to be a witch. I got the costumes last night for $7.99 each!! I’m so excited about getting such a great deal.
We might actually have to dress up this year because my neighbor is having an adult Halloween party.
Alex will be a frog and I’m planning on being a fly. Too cheesy? Ah, well. His frog costume is too cute for words!
I don’t think I’ll be dressing up.
My daughter has 2 costumes, so we have to decide which one she’ll wear. One is an adorable Bumble Bee costume from Pottery Barn Kids. I got it at a consignment store for $10!!
The other is a “homemade” costume of sorts. DH really wants her to be a black cat, so at the last minute I found some ears and a tail, and I picked up some black sweatpants and a turtleneck.
We’ll see which one she wears….
OUt of 4 kids, my son is the only one with a costume so far…he is going to be mickey mouse…the other have no idea..or have not told me anyway.
no idea yet. LOL! DD is all upset cuz she can’t figure out what she wants to be yet. Last night she said she wanted to be a water bottle…but I said no, cuz they’re see through!
So we’ll see. She says definately NO to being a princess.
My baby girl, 18 months is goin to be Tinkerbell. My other two dd’s, 7 and 5, want to be Hannah Montana, so that requires 2 seperate outfits, i cant have them goin out looking alike, lol. And as for me, well, i probably wont dress up, but i’ll most likely wear a halloween shirt and black pants.
I’m not dressing up. I’m retired and live in a retirement trailer park. We don’t have little ones come trick or treating so Halloween is just another day for me.
We love Halloween at our house! My husband and I are going to be Frankenstein and his bride. My kids are going to be a vampiress, a white tiger and “Mr Lady bug” with a mustache.
The boy will be a pirate. I will be an exhausted mommy.
I’m not dressing up…and we still haven’t decided on DS’s costume yet, but right now it’s between Superman and Yoda =).
Our family will be dressing as the four companions in the Wizard of Oz!
DS is going as Mater. I’ll either be just released from the hospital or still in there on the 31st, so I haven’t planned anything for me.
My kids will be Tigger (the 5 yo) and Eeyore (the almost 2 yo). No costume for Mama, though my oldest wants me to be Pooh so I may scrounge up yellow sweatpants and a red shirt.
16 year old says she will be Snow White. How she will pull that off I have no clue, 8 year old boy is usually a NINJA. We’ll see
I’m thinking about being a clown! As for my children… I’ll find a nice outfit for my dog Jasmine! =)
Star Wars of course! My son has plans for me but I forget the characters name. Queen something. They are going as Luke and Darth Vadar and they want the baby to be princess laya. Sorry not sure of the spelling.
I’m not sure if I am even going to get dressed that day, lol. We have a teacher workshop day so the kids have no school. We’ll either hang out in our jammies all day and watch movies, or we’ll pack up and go out of town to visit family.
We never celebrate it.
i will have to ask my kids what their plans are for halloween and if they’ll be dressing up. and if they’re dressing up… what will they be. i haven’t a clue.
have a great weekend.
I don’t dress up but Kaylie is going to be a cheerleader and Keith a construction worker
Yeah, uh, I don’t do the dress up thing for Halloween. We did do it a couple years back to go to this great party at my then co-worker’s house… I was Storm from X-Men and Hubby was the vampire, Louis de Pointe du Lac from Interview with a Vampire (go figure).
My daughter is dressing up as a football player. My son… probably won’t dress up. If I do, I will be a witch.
I’m not sure if I’m gonna dress up this year, I have a costume from last year but I didn’t really like it. Too broke to buy another one. But my daughter has actually won 2 costumes over the last few months, or I won them for her. We won a pink tutu, so she could be a ballerina or something, and a Super Hero outfit so I think that will be her main costume.
both my 2 little ones are dressing up as Hannah Montana. My oldest is a pageant queen
