Like any other little girl, my daughters are obsessed with stories about princesses. They love the romance of finding their prince, the caring ways of each damsel in distress, and of course the happy endings. So we were happy to hear that one of our favorite DVD series – Veggie Tales – released their very own version in SweetPea Beauty.

OUR REVIEW

We’re all familiar with the classic tale Snow White. In this Veggie Tales version, SweetPea Beauty uses her compassion to help the evil Queen look deep inside and see the true beauty within her. In a world full of materialistic images, I think it’s refreshing to see a character portraying a positive role model by helping our kids realize that your character is more important than your physical appearance. And Veggie Tales does this in their very own humorous style.

The girls loved hearing a different version of this fairy tale and really enjoyed the lively characters. And of course, they got up and danced during the intermission when the brand new song “Pants” was making it debut. They enjoyed it so much that they’ve watched it several times in the last few days. It’s definitely one of the their favorites and I like that it’s sending a positive message in a fun way.
