My hubby is a network admin and he had to block amazon.com, buy.com, overstock.com, and ebay.com from being able to be accessed from our house. I was out of control. I’m glad he did though, now I do it old school style… I actually try things on before buying them, finding out they don’t fit, and tossing stuff into my closet never to be seen again!

I just about always buy when clothes and items are on sale. With a family of 5 and one income we cannot buy at high end stores and look for weekly sale ads in the newspaper.

I’m the one who always tells people where I got cheap… urrrr… inexpensive buys, because I wont buy that overpriced stuff!! It’s just not worth it. I got this fabulous croc purse in a little town in Texas that everyone thinks I got on my trip to Italy. It has a terrific linig and a great look, but it only cost me 25 bucks!!!

I am always telling my friends when I find a great deal online for things that I KNOW they normally pay full price for. Some of them just spend wayyy too much money on things that they could find for much less money if they took a little time to research. lol
I have a friend that spends WAY too much on clothing. Every time she goes, she has to make a return trip to bring down her charge card! Her only problem is — when going to TJ Maxx, she finds so many deals, she just spends more!

For me, I was a total mall shopper for years, spent tons of money on clothes and my Mom would always try to show me better ways to shop. My spendervention has been getting laid off from a job I had for over 16 years. I love hitting up TJ Maxx, its close, convenient and has some really wonderful clothes!
I’ve been teaching my daughter how to maximize her clothing budget by carefully shopping outlets and TJ Maxx / Marshall’s.

I always, always shop sales! And my #1 spendervention story/tip is I always take 24 hours to sleep on the idea of spending on a big purchase. Usually, after 24 hours, the impulse urge is gone and I decide I don’t NEED it!

My teenage daughter has a closet full of stuff rom TX Maxx and Marshalls. Lucky for me, their prices are closer to WalMart’s than Aeropostale prices. As a working mom, it’s important for me to be able to find current fashion in quality made clothing at prices I can affort without destroying my budget…. these two stores make that entirely possible!

I always shop at TJ Maxx and Marshalls- great stores with wonderful prices- you can buy lots of great products and clothes for 1/4 of the price at other full price stores.

I purchase all my wedding and shower gifts at TJMaxx and Marshalls. My friends who are the recipients of the gifts I buy love it because they know they are going to get fine name brand gifts and lots more of them because I can stretch my dollars so much more by shopping at both stores. TJMaxx and Marshalls carries the same brands as the high end department stores where friends are registered and I can see what they want/need in their registry at the high end stores and try and “copy” what they have registered by purchasing a similar item at Marshalls and TJMaxx. I can sometimes get them 2-3 gifts at Marshalls or TJMaxx where as if I had purchased them at the high end department store they would only get one gift. Sweet! I used to not blink an eye at spending over $100 for a top…that all changed once I got pregnant….these days, I only shop the sale sections, and have a price cap for specific items.
I am a bargain shopper at discount stores.
I never pay full retail prices. I always tell my friends and relatives the best and greatest deals and the best places to get the sales – which, of course, always includes Marshalls and TJ Maxx. I just recently bought several storage solutions at Marshalls – all on sale! Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway!

I always hit Marshalls before hitting any other store to see what’s in stock. More often than not, I find exactly or even better than what I was originally looking for.
