The Sleeptrainer from My Baby Zoo Giveaway
This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to commentor #17: Sandra!

Kiana has some very strange sleep habits. Sometimes she’ll crawl into bed at 6:30 am and other times she’ll fall asleep at 10 pm. However, she ALWAYS gets up at 6 am no matter if it’s a school day or the weekend. For some reason her internal alarm clock just goes off and she will then proceed to pry my eyes open with her little fingers. This is not the way I want to get up in the morning. So when I heard about The Sleeptrainer by My Baby Zoo, I knew I could use all the help I could get.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This unique and cute Sleep Trainer shows in an intuitive way when your child is allowed to get out of bed or still needs to catch some sleep: Eyes Closed – “I should be sleeping†– Eyes Open -“Rise and shine!â€
OUR REVIEW
I have to say that the photos on their website does not do this little monkey justice. He is just the most adorable creature in person. He looks so happy that my girls immediately wanted to try him out. Setting the time and alarm was very easy. There’s a panel on the back of the clock that hides all the buttons. This is a great idea because I just know Kiana would be playing with those buttons and changing the times without even realizing it.
The big part shows a standard clock while the smaller section is digital. I like that there are 2 different ways to see what time it is. It also makes it easier to learn how to tell time because all they have to do is read the numbers on the digital section and then see the corresponding time on the standard clock. The only downside is that the digital clock in displayed in a 24 hour format. This was a little confusing to my girls since they haven’t learned that concept in school yet.
However, the best part is the monkey’s cute eyes. When your child goes to bed, you just turn on the alarm and his eyes will close. This will let your kids know that they should be sleeping, too. In the morning when the alarm goes off, his eyes will pop open and you’ll hear him playing happily in the jungle. It’s such a fun sound to wake up to! No loud buzzers or beeps.
Now I tell Kiana that if she wakes up and the monkey’s eyes are closed, stay in bed and do not wake Mommy up! So far it’s been working like a charm! I owe my extra sleep time to My Baby Zoo.
As a surprise, we also received their brand new product – Gus Nightlight. This was perfect because I’ve been looking for a nightlight to put into the girls room. We can’t use the ones that plug into a wall because the outlet is located behind the bookshelf. Since Gus is powered by 2 AA batteries, the girls can take him to bed to keep them company. I like that it uses an LED light so that the unit doesn’t get hot. It’s also great that you’re able to select how bright/dim you want it to be. However, the best part is the automatic shut-off timer. I know that once I check on them and leave the room I’m not coming back unless I have to. This timer reassures me that Gus won’t be left on all night while wasting the batteries.
So if you’re looking for items to help your child sleep better, check out The Sleeptrainer and Gus Nightlight from My Baby Zoo. And remember, if your child is sleeping well so are you!

I like that there is both an Analogue & Digital clock. My 4yo can read a digital clock, and this would help him learn to read an analogue clock by comparing the two!

What’s not to like? Favorite feature? Maybe how it shuts its eyes for sleepy time.
The feature I find most helpful is the nightlight that automatically shuts down after 30 seconds.
