My daughters have always loved princesses. In fact, they’ve always dreamed that one day they would become a princess and live in a beautiful castle. I don’t blame them since I wouldn’t mind the same thing happening to me . . . as long as housekeeping came with the deal.
We were recently introduced to the books from The Princess Parables series that share the most adorable stories.
Princess Joy’s Birthday Blessing
‘No one can come to the surprise party, Daddy. What will we do?’ Princess Joy can’t wait for her birthday. There will be treats, games, and an enormous cake with delicious icing! But when the other princes and princesses can’t come and Princess Joy finds out, she comes up with a surprising plan to fill her day with special guests and unexpected gifts. Will it work? Her idea, shared in Princess Joy’s Birthday Blessing, comes from a parable Jesus told about a party a lot like hers.
Princess Grace and the Little Lost Kitten
‘Search everywhere for the lost kitten. Bring her back safely to the castle.’ In Princess Grace and the Little Lost Kitten, Princess Grace promised her father she would care for the kittens she found. But Poppy, the curious one, has run away. Princess Grace must find him, even if it means searching the entire kingdom . . . even braving the Black Woods. Along the way, she remembers a parable Jesus told about God’s great love for us and how he too searches for each one who is lost.
OUR REVIEW
Our favorite book out of the two was Princess Joy’s Birthday Blessing. In this story, Princess Joy’s friends are not able to come to her birthday party which leave her feeling disappointed. While her sisters are in the garden celebrating her birthday, Princess Joy notices a little village girl hiding behind a tree. This gives her a wonderful idea . . . why not invite all the kids from the village to join in the celebration? And if that’s not enough, there’s one more wonderful surprise in store for these very special guests.
This story shared a wonderful message about sharing what you have with those who may not be as fortunate.
In Princess Grace and the Little Lost Kitten, Princess Grace finds a litter of kittens and convinces her father to let her keep them with the promise that she will keep a very watchful eye on them. Of course, kittens will be kittens and eventually one of them wanders off and gets lost. With the support of her father and her faith in God, Princess Grace and her sisters race off to find the lost kitten. Just when she’s about to give up, she finds strength in the memory that her father never gives up on anything. Did she find the little lost kitten? You’ll have to read the story to find out.

My daughter is mesmerized by Disney Princesses and she is almost 3. I want to teach her about what it means to be God’s princess and I think this is one of the best series I have found to do that. It would be a bonus to win it!
I’d love to win thanks. This looks like a cute book.
