What is with the cold and flu season this winter? I am usually a fairly healthy person, but this time I’ve been stuck with the off-and-on endless coughing, runny nose, sneezing stuff that seems to be rampantly making its way through everyone I know.
Unfortunately, when I head to the pharmacy aisle, I am faced with endless rows and rows of medications that contain a long list of the symptoms that they treat. I find myself standing there picking one after another off of the shelf… yes, I have a cough but no, I don’t have chest congestion… yes, I have a fever but no, I don’t have sinus pressure…
Why take medicine to treat symptoms that I don’t have? Pharmacy experts agree that “the best way to get through a cold once you become infected is to medicate only the symptoms you have.” This is now simple to do with SymptomPak.
SymptomPak contains five of the individual ingredients pharmacists agree are most often needed for colds, cough, fever and flu. I really love the concept of the SymptomPak system. Not only is each bottle clearly labeled, they are well color-coded so that it is very clear which medication you are looking for or taking. As soon as you flip open the top of the box, you 
are able to match your symptoms to the proper medication that you need and the dosing instructions are written right there as well. A small pill box with individual compartments is also included for taking a few along with you.
As the five medications included in the SymptomPak are the ones found in various combinations of over-the-counter products, this way you are able to match up your exact symptoms to the ingredients necessary and not risk any side-effects from anything extra. Plus, when my husband and I have colds, we always experience them differently and having the SymptomPak allows us to both be properly treated without having to purchase anything separately or have to run out at the last minute to find a different medication to provide one of us relief. bottle before the others? SymptomPak offers individual refill bottles of each of their medications.
Overall, the SymptomPak helps you treat your symptoms more accurately and safely because you take only what you need and nothing that you don’t. Wondering about your children? As a mom of two young children, I would love to have something laid out as clearly and safely when it came to giving medicine to my daughters.
