Welcome to the first day of the Summer Giveaway Event. For the next week, I’ll be hosting some cool daily giveaways from some very generous sponsors. It’s my way of celebrating Summer (and catching up on the backlog of prizes 
) So without further ado . . . here’s Giveaway Event #1:
If you haven’t already noticed, one of my favorite things to buy are hair accessories for my daughters. After all, dressing them up is one of the many perks of having girls, right?
Bugalug specializes in “stay-put� barrettes and headbands for your little princess. These hair accessories are available in the cutest and trendiest colors and designs on the market to go with the more modern look kids are sporting these days. No more bunnies, duckies, and kitties. Now it’s all about the retro look – polka dots, strips, & paisley. And I for one love it!
When we received our barrettes and headband, I immediately noticed the pride that goes in to making these quality pieces. This is very important since my girls are not the most daintiest when it comes handling things. And I especially liked the adjustable handband since there’s a toggle clasp that goes under the hair to adjust to almost any sized head. Very important since Baby Bug’s head is in the 80%! Hee hee
Bugalug has generously donated a pair of barrettes and headband of your choice to one lucky winner.

- Stop by Bugalug before June 30th and check out the various designs.
- Then come back and mention in comments which one you’d like to win. That’s it!
- A random winner will be selected and notified on July 1st.
- The winner will then have 3 days to claim their prize.
To earn more entries, you may do one or all of the following. Each one counts as an extra ticket.

- Place An Island Life’s button in your sidebar. This will count for entries into future giveaways.

I love the jelly bean barrettes and the love child headbands. My daughter actually was off the charts (105th percentile) for head size at her 1 year appointment so I feel your pain in trying to find cute headbands that don’t pinch or leave red marks!

I have 2 grandaughters -Delaney, 2 1/2 is definitely a “Jelly Bean” roly-poly and Bethany, 4 is more a Lollipop ballet princess. Colors are “young” and pretty for kids. Not too grownup for a change.
I like the pretty in pink barrettes, but it’s so hard to decide. They’re all beautiful.
