This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to commentor #36: Dana!

In Slightly Invisible ($16.99), Charlie and his friend Marv set out to find the most strange and trickiest creatures around.Of course, his little sister Lola would rather that they play Tea Party with her instead. However, just this once the boys want to play by themselves. So Lola devises a plan to get the boys to play with her after all . . . without them even realizing it.

In this new book written by Lauren Child and featuring television characters, Charlie and Lola, your child will go on an imaginative adventure filled with new lands and new vocabulary words. What we really liked was how the story was printed in a very artistic fashion rather than just across the top or bottom of the page. It gave the book a fun twist and the kids had fun turning the books in all directions as they read the sentences.

We also received a pair of Charlie and Lola Poseable Talking Dolls ($25). These dolls have wire under their stuffing which allowed my kids to bend the dolls’ arms and legs into different positions. And if you press their tummies, they even talk! Charlie says, “I have  this little sister Lola. She is small and very funny.” Lola says, “I’m not small, I’m big!” Their clothes are made made to stay on which I actually like since Kiana always seems to lose those tiny shirts.

And lastly, we received the absolutely completely completest collection of the Charlie and Lola show ever.

Now together in one super amazingly terrific box set, the absolutely completely completest collection of Charlie and Lola ever ($54.98)- the complete seasons one and two, fifty-two episodes plus the double-length Christmas special, on eight discs!

My kids are fans of these characters and I have to admit . . . so am I. This series emphasizes getting along as a family, helping each other out, and being polite. You’ll rarely find any kind of sibling rivalry between Charlie and Lola which is very refreshing these days. The show also emphasizes imagination which is an important trait for children to have. But most of all, these siblings are very respectful to each other and to the people around them. This is a trait that I want my children to learn and incorporate into their own lives.

I’m a lot older than the target age, but I’ve LOVED “Charlie and Lola” ever since seeing the tv show and instantly fell in love with the charming characters (and their adorable British accents). Lola is so sweet (even if her imagination runs away with her sometimes) and I relate to Charlie as an older sibling and his life with his little sister. Thanks for the chance to win!
