Scrapblog: Preserving Memories Giveaway
Every once in a while a product comes along and just blows your mind. Well, that’s what Scrapblog did to me. Since I’m not a very creative person I’m always in awe of people who can put together beautiful scrapbook pages that showcase their precious photos. With Scrapblog, I can now at least appear to look like I know what I’m doing.
We created Scrapblog because we wanted to go beyond sharing our photos and videos online. We made Scrapblog drag-and-drop-easy so that everyone can tell their stories and create beautiful multimedia scrapbooks. Our goal is to enable everyday people to express themselves online in a creative way. We’ve been developing Scrapblog for over two years. However, what you see online today is only the beginning.
In order to start I just needed to find a bunch of my favorite photos and register for an account with Scrapblog. Then I started browsing through their endless selection of pre-made scrapbook pages. The more complicated layouts need to be purchased but there are also tons of great free creations, too.
Once I upload all my photos & backgrounds using the tools in the left sidebar, I just needed to drag and drop. It’s that easy! I was also able to add stickers, text, frames, and shapes. The great thing is that if you see something that you like on one page you can just copy and paste it into another . . . personanlizing to your creation even more.
Since I did a 2009 Year in Review Scrapblog that highlighted events throughout our year, I had to find various kinds of layouts. However, if you have a more specific event, Scrapblog has sets where all the pages go together into one theme. And if you’re looking for an even easier way to make a Scrapblog, check out their QuickMix. QuickMix will automatically place your photos in a theme that you select. For a limited time you’ll receive 150 credits just for trying out this new feature.
Once you’re done with your project and are ready to order, just hit “publish” and Scrapblog will put everything together. You’ll then get a chance to make any necassary changes. They’ll also catch any unrecognizable words and make suggestions on how to fix them. When that’s done and you send it to print, they’ll put together the final version and email you a proof for approval. I think it’s so important that they take all these steps to ensure that everything is exactly the way you want it.
The best part of course is the finished result. I wasn’t really sure what to expect when I opened our box but I was thrilled! I wanted to share it with everyone immediately! The colors were bright and the photos were sharp. It looked very professional and something I would proudly display. In fact, I think I’m going to make one at the end of every year from now on. It’s a great way to look back over the year and see my favorite photos and events.
Thanks to Scrapblog I now have a great looking book filled with beautiful pages. And guess what? It was so much fun to put together! Books start at only $9.99 so stop by today and preserve your precious memories.
