When I was growing up, Saturday morning just wouldn’t be the same without Scooby-Doo and the gang. I loved to watch all the mysteries and try to figure out just who the villian was. However, to me everyone looked suspicious.
We recently had the opporutnity to review Scooby-Doo Abracadabra-Doo and I knew Kacie would be thrilled. She’s already a big fan of the series.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Scooby-Doo and the gang go on a trip to check on Velma’s sister, Madelyn. She’s been studying magic at the Whirlen Merlin Magic Academy. Apparently there’s been trouble at the Academy. Sightings of a giant dragon have been scaring all the students away. The gang smells trouble and decides to investigate.
OUR REVIEW
In the typical Scooby-Doo fashion, the gang has to find out who’s behind the cause of all the mayhem. As usual, from the very beginning of the show we were already making predictions on who would be the villain. Of course they had a few characters that looked mean but in my experience it’s always the ones you least expect that end up being the bad guy.
The kids really enjoyed the movie but there were a few parts that were a little too scary for Kiana. Kacie, on the other hand, likes the mystery-type stories and was glued to the television set. It was kind of cool to meet Daphne’s sister and to see their differences and similarities. It was also kind of funny that she had a huge crush on Shaggy.
What I liked best about this DVD is that the whole idea behind the Scooby-Doo gang has stayed the same over the years. The animation has been a little updated but not so much so that you feel you don’t know the characters anymore. Watching Abracadabra-Doo really brought back memories of my childhood and I was glad to share it with my girls.
