As you probably already know, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It’s a time help those who are suffering from this disease, educate ourselves on preventive care, and spread the word on how others can help.
Thanks to MyBlogSpark and MySpace, there is a brand new site called PinkTogether.com where everyone can find the help and support they need within the community.
“The site is part of Pink Together®, a national campaign to support those impacted by breast cancer and to help raise awareness of the disease. To support Pink Together, General Mills is donating $2 million to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and is turning the packaging pink next month on an assortment of its most beloved brands. General Mills will also donate $1, up to $20,000, each time you post a comment of encouragement, send a virtual flower bouquet or share a story on PinkTogether.com in October.”
I have a friend who is currently battling this disease and I can’t even imagine the things she’s been going through. Websites like PinkTogether.com allow these women to feel like they’re not alone in their fight. Here you’ll find some inspiring stories about some amazing women who have experienced Breast Cancer and lived to tell about it. You’ll also find support and advice for not only the person suffering from Breast Cancer but also for the loved ones in her life.

My aunt is a breast cancer survivor who has gone through a double masectomy and recently a total hysterectomy due to coomplications from chem. Not once has she complained or felt sorry for herself. she cleans houses to help bring in money for her family and has already went back to work. She is someone that I truley look up too and this would be a great gift for her.
The most inspirational woman in my life is my mom! I hope I can be as good a mom to my little one as she has been to me!

My mom is inspirational to me. She’s had a lot of operations (2 back, knee replacement, hip replacement) and needs another back operation. She still smiles and laughs though.
