Oral-B & Scrapblog.com Giveaway
This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to commentor #63: Chris!
If your kids are like mine, they received tons of candy during various Halloween events. It’s this time of year that I make sure the kids take extra care in brushing their teeth. Let’s face it, it’s usually not their favorite thing to do and sometimes I need to constantly remind them but I know they’ll thank me one day.
Here are some Tips to Make Brushing Fun from Oral-B:
- Brush your teeth with your child to set a good example. It also helps your child to learn by watching and imitating you.
- Choose toothbrushes and toothpaste with popular kids’ characters, like Oral-B Stages Winnie the Pooh or Disney Princesses, to help establish positive oral care routines with familiar friends.
- Sing your child’s favorite song, like “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,†or play a song from their favorite singer for the two minutes while they are brushing their teeth.
- Recite your child’s favorite nursery rhyme, like the “Itsy Bitsy Spider,†while they are brushing their teeth.
- Making your child’s brushing routine fun will encourage proper habits early and help prevent oral care issues later in life.
- For more information please visit, www.oralb.com/smilestages.
In addition, Oral-B Stages recently hosted an event in New York City with Dr. Jennifer Salzer to talk to other parents about children’s oral care. An informational video with tips from Dr. Jennifer Salzer was created as a result of this event.
To educate parents about children’s oral health, Oral-B Stages and Scrapblog.com have partnered to provide parents a unique and easy way to document key ‘Smile-Stages’ in their children’s oral health development. Smile-Stages are important milestones in children’s oral health development, such as their first smile or the loss of their first tooth. A Smile-Stage is also a specific time of year when children’s oral health is especially important, like Halloween. Now that Halloween is over and parents have all those adorable photos of their kids in Halloween costumes, parents can capture their children’s best Smile-Stages moments by visiting www.oralb.com/smilestages and creating personalized multimedia scrapbooks that can be viewed and shared online.

I know they brush at daycare and every night before bed it’s part of our routine. They just know that’s what we do before bed.

My daughter just loves to brush. So I usually do a quick brush of her teeth and then let her brush away.

My child only brushes when I tell her to, which is everyday! But to get a really good job I have to brush and floss her teeth.
We set a timer, and that works, they brush for two minutes.

I never really had a problem getting my kids to brush their teeth. Of course, I always let them pick the flavor of toothpaste they like…so that helped.

I sing the kids a song to the tune of Row, row, row your boat, but it’s Brush, brush, brush your teeth.

Making it part of the routine was the key for my daughter to brush her teeth. Also, using her favorite character on her toothbrush helps too!

My girls enjoy teeth brushing time so I don’t have to do anything to get them to brush their teeth

My kids always get to pick a flavor each of toothpaste as long as they promise to brush their teeth everyday. So far so good!
I brush my teeth when my daughter brushes hers. She gets to choose her own toothpaste and toothbrush. She has a few to choose from. Sometimes we’ll sing and make funny faces with the toothpaste in our mouth.

The trick is fun toothpaste and toothbrushes. If they brush too fast they get sent in to give it another brush. Knowing that they brush a little longer. Thank you!
