My Friends Tigger & Pooh: Bedtime with Pooh DVD Giveaway

Disney is a fixture in our household. I converted DH to the Disney Way with frequent trips to Disney World and our kids are being raised in the fine Disney tradition, through generous helpings of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Sadly, Disney Channel has changed the schedule of their Playhouse Disney lineup this summer, so we’re dearly missing our friends, Tigger and Pooh.
So I was very happy to receive My Friends Tigger & Pooh: Bedtime with Pooh to review. This Disney DVD features six different episodes of My Friends Tigger & Pooh plus a bonus episode from Handy Manny (also a fun Playhouse Disney show).
I was nice and decided to save the DVD for a day when I wouldn’t be home – ie I gave my husband an out on the usual kids’ shows that he hates. He was a bit disappointed because he recognized a lot of the episodes from times we had watched Tigger & Pooh with the kids. However, as I said before, Disney has changed the Playhouse Disney lineup this summer so we barely, if ever, see Tigger & Pooh. Therefore, all of these episodes were as good as new with the kids (read=they sat there staring with their mouths open).
As with many Disney DVDs, Bedtime with Pooh features different, interactive ways to watch. You can just watch normally. There are also two other ways to watch. Discovery Mode 1 for ages 2-3 has you using your remote to answer simple questions about colors, shapes, and sizes. Discovery Mode 2 for ages 4-6 also uses your remote to answer more challenging questions. I put on Discovery Mode 1 for both kids, figuring I didn’t want to make it too hard for the 2 year old. They both enjoyed it, and shouted out the answers while I worked the remote. I like that this offers a bit more interaction and brain activity than the usual television show.
My Friends Tigger & Pooh: Bedtime with Pooh is now available through major retailers like Amazon.com with a suggested price of $19.99.
