Kiss My Face Peace Soap Review & Giveaway

Introducing Kiss My Face Peace Soap and their partnership with Seeds of Peace
Given the current Arab-Israeli conflict, it is easy to overlook the positive efforts and significant progress being made to foster universal acceptance among the youth in areas of unrest. Seeds of Peace is a nonprofit, nonpolitical organization dedicated to empowering young people from regions of conflict with the leadership skills and interpersonal networks necessary to advance reconciliation and coexistence.
The specific objectives of Seeds of Peace programming are to humanize the conflict; provide conflict resolution and leadership training; facilitate open dialogue; and to create a network of young leaders who will become a core constituency for peace. What began as a camp program with 46 Israeli, Palestinian and Egyptian teenagers has expanded into a global operation with offices in over ten cities around the world and over 4,000 young leaders (called “Seeds”) working for peace.

This mission is, of course, made possible by sponsors like Kiss My Face, who will support Seeds of Peace by donating 10% of all profits from Peace Soap to the organization. As the company brainstormed the creation of a product to help raise funds for the much applauded organization, they felt offering should be one that could be used by all campers in a variety of ways – expected and unexpected. They landed on a 100 percent natural, multi-purpose castile soap, as it is a universal formula that can be used by anyone, much like the values and tools Seeds of Peace strives to instill in its participants.
The donation is earmarked for programming and supporting camp efforts. In addition to donating proceeds from Peace Soap, Kiss My Face will also be sponsoring an online forum called “The Pledge for Peace.” Making a “pledge” is free and simple – all one needs to do is log onto the Kiss My Face Facebook page or Thepledgeforpeace.com and note what they will do to promote peace in their everyday lives. For every 10,000 pledges that are made, Kiss My Face will send one camper to the Seeds of Peace summer camp during the 2011 season (a value of $6,000). There is no limit to the number of kids that Kiss My Face will sponsor! The campaign will be running from June 15th through September 15th, 2010.
My Thoughts About Peace Soap
I was excited to try out the Kiss My Face Peace Soaps not only because I am a fan of Kiss My Face products, but also because of what the soaps represent and support. Honestly, I’d never heard of Seeds of Peace before this review, but I’ve read my fair share of information and it’s such an amazing organization. I give Kiss My Face kuddos for supporting such a wonderful cause and giving others a chance to learn about the Seeds of Peace initiatives. Plus, by helping support their cause you also get to try out a great new product!
The Peace Soaps are biodegradable , environmentally safe, vegetable-based, vegan and contain no SLS, parabens, phthalates, or artificial fragrances! The castile soaps are available in four scents: Grassy Mint, Lavender Mandarin, Pomegranate Acai, and Lemongrass Clary Sage. Castile soaps have a wide variety of uses, which is why I love using them. The Peace Soap website actually lists 101 uses including dish detergent, bath wash, laundry, and camping!
I received each of the scents and they all smell wonderful. The Grassy Mint and Pomegranate Acai smell delicious! Seriously, if I didn’t know better I’d try to eat them. My husband and I have used both as bath wash and shampoo. They are perfect as a bath wash and the Grassy Mint is especially refreshing. I made the Lemongrass Clary Sage soap into a kitchen cleaner by adding half water and half Peace Soap in a spray bottle. As a counter top cleaner it works amazingly well and my kitchen smells great all the time. My favorite scent, Lavender Mandarin, was used to launder clothes and cloth diapers. Yes, Peace Soaps, unlike many other soaps and detergents, are safe to use on cloth diapers because they do not contain any ingredients which can damage the materials! For the detergent I used about 1/3 cup of the Peace Soap, and the clothes came out smelling faintly of lavender, but mostly just clean. The cloth diapers needed an extra rinse and a bit of baking soda, but also came out smelling clean.
I think my opinion is very clean on the Peace Soaps. I love them! Plus, they are a great buy for all of you value shoppers! I received 17 ounce bottles and, since you dilute the soap for usage, the bottles are still about half full! I recommend these soaps to everyone since you can use them for just about anything. Be creative and come up with your own use for them! They would also make wonderful gifts for friends and family. I plan on buying several as Christmas presents.

I think I’d like to try it in the bath and melting it into a gentler cleaner for the kitchen or trying some in the laundry. This stuff sounds like a great all purpose bargain.

I would try them as a cleanser. Have to laugh though – I was thinking how nice grassy mint would smell in the bathrooms and then I realized it would always smell like the kids had brushed their teeth. Moms need every little clue to stay on top of things so I’m now thinking pomegranite acai would be nice in the bathrooms.
