Congratulations!

As you already know, my family loves cereal. We can eat it any time of the day and for me, it’s usually my midnight snack. So how could I pass up a free box of Honey Kix cereal? I knew I would love it but I wasn’t so sure about my girls. They’re the ones that eat all the marshmallows out of their Lucky Charms and throw the rest away. So what did they think?

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Honey Kix is a good source of fiber, calcium and vitamin D, contains 16 grams of whole grain per serving (at least 48 grams recommended daily) and has no artificial flavors or preservatives. A perfect balance of taste and nutrition through simple ingredients, which both moms and kids can agree on!

MY REVIEW

First of all, I was pleasantly surprised at all the things that came with my General Mills Honey Kix cereal pack: honey jar, a set of colorful cereal bowls, a container to take your cereal and milk on-the-go, a great container to keep cereal fresh at home, and of course a box of Honey Kix.

I gave a bowl of Honey Kix to Baby Bug not really expecting much and was shocked when she asked for seconds and thirds. Now, this is coming from a very picky eater so it really says a lot. Since then, she’s been asking for “kicks” every morning. I love it because it makes getting breakfast ready so much easier on me. And the fact that it’s actually good for her is definitely a plus.

I even gave it a try myself and really liked it! Honey Kix has just the right combination of sweetness to make you forget that you’re eating something that’s actually good for you. And the best part is that it’s bite sized. On the mornings when we’re short on time, I just throw some Honey Kix into a ziploc bag and we’re out the door. Voila! And guess what? It also makes a great after-school snack!

WIN IT!

I have 3 Honey Kix Cereal Snack Packs to give away to 3 lucky winners. This includes: honey jar, a set of cereal bowls, a container to take your cereal and milk on-the-go, a great container to keep cereal fresh at home, and a coupon redeemable for a box of Honey Kix. To enter:

  • Just mention in comments before midnight, Feb 28th what you do to get your morning off to a good start. That’s it!
  • The random winners will be selected and notified via email on March 1st
  • The winners will then have 3 days to claim their prize.

To earn extra entries, you may do one or all of the following. Each one counts as an extra ticket but you must leave a separate comment for each one.

This giveaway is open to US addresses. Good luck!

This may sound silly but we always smile and say “good morning” to each other and it does seem to get our day started on the right foot.

I’m so bad! i used to eat cereal every morning, but now that I can’t do milk it’s kind of fallen by the wayside…
I try to eat a piece of toast and some fruit!
I think the biggest help is going to bed at a decent hour the night before though… :)

I am a single mom to 4 kids under 7 years old. The older 2 have to be ready for the bus at 6:40 am and I have to be at work by 7:30 so we start the morning early. The best way I can do it is to lay down next to the ones who aren’t already asleep and sing silly songs while tickling them. These are usually songs about tickling or squeezing or hugs and kisses. Usually the kids who are up join in (though the songs are made up on the spur of the moment and they have to try hard to sing along).

  13. Carey says:

I had no idea they made a new cereal. My kids love kix.

  14. I usually eat a bagel, because it’s quick, and our mornings are busy too! Our little one eats oatmeal and bananas. She had honey nut cheerios (w/out milk) for a snack and loves them. I bet she would really like Honey Kix too!
