Do you have any favorite places? Perhaps the romantic island where you spent your honeymoon or where you went for every year as a child to visit your grandparents. How about your favorite vacation to New York City or the Grand Canyon?

Glass Atlas is a unique company that makes beautiful glass dome paperweights with authentic NASA satellite images. There are over three dozen distinct detailed images to choose from. The clear glass dome magnifies the image and also makes it possible to see it from any angle.

We received the Puget Sound Washington Glass Atlas and have had a lot of fun remembering a holiday we took as a family to the area in 1993. Our children were young and we camped in Olympic National Park and hiked a bit on Mount Rainier. It’s quite interesting to see these images from outer space.

I tend to order a lot of products online and because of this, packaging is very important to me. I have to say, I love the thought and care Glass Atlas puts into their packaging. Each glass atlas arrives securely packed in it’s own small eco-friendly wooden crate and comes with a small fact sheet describing the specific image. The atlas can be engraved with your own message for a personal touch.

Inside the crate, the atlas is wrapped and even has it’s very own soft velvety drawstring bag. If I add a bow to the mini crate l’ll have a lovely gift ready for giving. The wooden crate can also be customized with your own design. It would make an interesting business gift when bought in bulk and branded with your business logo.

The Glass Atlas is a classy addition to my husband’s desk and I like that.

A favorite Puget Sound memory is tough for me since I’ve lived in the PNW nearly my whole life! I’ve never lived anywhere that wasn’t walking distance to the sound, so virtually all of my memories of home include the sound. While I love to travel and explore, the Puget Sound will always be home to me and I would love to have the glass atlas for my kiddos to see where my grandparents met, where my parents married, and where their parents have explored together both pre and post family :)

On February 16th 1968 I landed AT McChord Air Force Base, went to Ft. Lewis, and then to the old SeaTac airport. This solidified the fact that my year in vietnam was over.

I live in Virginia but used to live in the Pacific NW for over 3 years and I often miss the awesome beauty of it…that includes the Puget Sound area! I miss the rugged and rocky beaches and the peacefulness of them in the mornings! I love maps and atlases in general though as am a bit of a geography buff and would love this glass atlas!

We moved to Washington five years ago and until March of this year lived on an arm of Puget Sound (Wollocet Bay). We loved watching all the bird migreations and since we lived across from the Tacoma Yacht Club getaway pier, saw a lot of really expensive yachts, sail boats, etc.

I lived on Vashon Island- which is in the middle of the Puget Sound. Living on an island is a very interesting way of life -you always are afraid of Ferry strikes.

    Thomas Gibson says:

I remembered taking a ferry across Puget Sound to go to another part of Washington as I was leaving Seattle. I got a bit seasick and was glad to get on dry land again. I saw a group of people scurry to the one side of the ferry to take a snapshot of a Orca, but that didn’t move me as i was trying to keep still.

I lived in the Seattle area (Kirkland, Washington) for three years. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world. For some reason one of my strongest memories is the lovely aroma of the warm evergreen trees on a sunny day.

The most special memory I have is when shortly after my son was Marine of the Year in 2005 and I flew out to see him while he was in Whidbey Island. I was so proud of him, and we both loved the area and beautiful Washington. I also collect paperweights and this is a fantastic giveaway. Thanks for the chance to win.
