Giveaway: Lil’ Aloha Babies Waves ‘n Wonders

May 19, 2008

This giveaway is now closed. Thank you for your participation.
The winner is Musings of Megret!
Congratulations!

I’m especially excited to present this review/giveaway to you because it shares the beautiful sights and sounds of the Hawaiian Islands. Introducing the Lil’ Aloha Babies Waves ‘n Wonders DVD.
From the site: “Waves ‘n Wonders teaches young children about the beautiful ocean and magnficent marine life that surrounds the islands. There are just tow of the many reasons Hawai’i is known as paradise. The “aloha” state is a favorite destination for visitors of all ages from around the world. Let it be one of your child’s favorite places, too!”

This 28 minute DVD by Local Girl Productions is the first in a series that shares with you the beautiful scenery of Hawaii. Accompanied by calming songs by local artists, this video will help teach your child the English and Hawaiian names for various ocean and marine life.

What we really liked about this DVD is the unique blend of animated and real footage. The descriptive words were spoken clearly and even the Hawaiian ones were easy to pronounce. But the best part was the music. Even when the kids weren’t around, I still played it for the soothing and upbeat songs. They even had one of my favorites - My Hawai’i by Na Leo.

It’s the perfect way to bring a little of the Hawaiian Islands into your home!

The ohana of Lil’ Aloha Babies have generously donated a copy of Waves ‘n Wonders for one lucky winner. To enter, just stop by their site (About Us Page) before May 27th and take a look around. Then come back and mention one element about this video. That’s it! A random winner will be selected and notified on May 28th. The winner will then have 3 days to claim their prize.

To earn extra entries, just subscribe to my feed and/or mention this giveaway on your blog with a link back here and to Lil’ Aloha Babies. Please let me know if you’re doing/did the extra credit so I can make sure you’re entered properly.

This giveaway is open to US addresses only. Good luck!

One of the wonderful things about this DVD that I love is that it promotes Cultural Awareness. I have been teaching my kids about our Polynesian Culture and they love learning about it. It is so important for kids to know about their roots. I love our rich Polynesian culture and anything that promotes and encourages love and respect for it, I am all for it! There are some cartoons that I have seen that feature Polynesians and I think they are a bit demeaning, in some ways. This is just the opposite! My kiddies would love this! I am doing the extra credit too, I am a subscriber and the link for your contest is here:
