He has been so wonderful since we had our first son 6 years ago- he has stuck with me and held me up and supported me through 3 bouts of post partum depression, 4 miscarriages, 2 months of jobless/homelessness living in our tent trailer, moving 6 times in 8 years, and now he is letting MY mother live with us… he really is the best!

we have two amazing dad’s in our lives. one is my children’s father, my husband. he’s probably the most ideal dad in the world. he unconditionally loves and cares for his children like leave it to beaver. he’s always stealing and giving kisses and hugs and gum to the kids. he’s beyond amazing. he’s always giving to us even when he was struck with thyroiditis which swept him (negatively) off his feet. he just jumped back and provided above and beyond for his family.

The Dad in my life is my older son. His daughter is severely handicapped, and his whole face lights up when he sees her face, as does hers.
They have lots of fun playing together, and he makes sure he will always be there for her.
He is being deployed this summer, and although he wishes to serve his country (and he will) it tears him up to leave her at home.
I think it would be wonderful for him to have a gift acknowledging what a fantastic Dad he really is.

My Dad deserves this because he has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and they originally gave him only months. He has been going through chemo and his tumors have reduced 50% and they now give him 2-3 years.
The Zune would be wonderful for him to use during his chemo sessions where he sits for hours at a time…

My brother-in-law is a father and a music teacher. He will use the Zune to help teach kindergarten and first grade students.
My husband deserves to win because he is an amazing daddy. He’s always there to catch our little girls when they fall, wipe their noses when they’re oozing, and ease their worries when they are crying in the middle of the night. Bath time is daddy time, he changes every other diaper or pull-up and never complains. He encourages our girls to take risks but never stands too far away. The thing I admire most about my husband is his commitment. He is commited to being the best daddy ever, to always be there for the important things, to always encourage and never discourage, to always love and protect his little girls. He is always ready to play. He’s reasonable. He is always cool, calm, and collected. He is always giving 110 percent.
He is always positive. I see such pride and happiness in his eyes when our girls give him hugs and kisses, when they call for him. Especially when they run to him and throw their arms around his neck. He has sacrificed a lot for our girls and me. Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a Daddy.
My husband deserves a Zune because he’s a great Dad and fantastic husband. He’s working so hard now to fix up the house so we can move and I can live closer to my Mom and Dad. He could use this while he’s working to listen to his favorite songs.

I would love to give my dad the zune. He is a very hard working man taking on a family that isnt biologically his. Yet hes love me and my siblings like were his own. My dad is so silly when it comes to music. Because i dont have much money, for his birthday i bought him a little mp3 player but i think he would enjoy this one much more! best of luck for my dad!
I would love to see my husband win. He’s such a hard worker and does so much for our family. He’s an EMT for 48 hour shifts on weekeds, then he farms during his off-time, and goes to school during the week (every day, technically, but since it’s an hour drive away he only goes 3-4 days since we can’t afford the gas!). He’s going to school to be a math teacher, and this past year was particularly hard on him, despite his years of experience in school in the past (he has a couple other degrees since he started college early as a homeschooler). We just had another baby (also have a 2 year old) and he’s such an amazing dad- it melts my heart. Not to mention what a fabulous husband he is…he delivered our baby at home (just the two of us!) 2 weeks ago AND spent the day slaving away for me.
Anyway, I’d just love to see him win as a tiny reward for all he does for us.

My dad deserves this because he worked 60 hours a week the entire time we were growing up so we could be middle class.
I would love to win this for my dad. Not only is he a fantastic dad, but he always allowed us to have our requested gadgets as kids that we ‘had to have’ at the time (within reason, he wasn’t a spoiler, thank goodness!). But he never seemed to get much for himself, still doesn’t. One of the things we inherited from him, was a love of sports, in particular running. All of us grown-kids have ipods, shuffles, nanos, etc. to run with. He has none of it – and he still runs on his own, and on saturday mornings with a group. He would feel like ‘the big man on campus’ showing up with a zune! He absolutely deserves it. He is the most amazing dad.

My husband has been commuting 2 hours each way since he lost his job 4 months ago. He wanted his kids to be able to finish off the school year with as little interruption as possible. He gets home just in time to tuck them in before he, himself passes out from pure exhaustion. This would be a great little pick me up.
my dad deserves this zunes player because he always seems to help me with my finacial problems when i really need him. I am a very pridful person and always refuse but he lets me know that he does it for me to make my life easier for me so I dont lose my house. That is what a real father is.

A father is a very special thing. The sacrifice, pain, and promise made by every father is often so well hidden behind the tough exteriors of their wizened, aged faces that we sometimes forget how awesome they are. I couldn’t begin to blog the amazing things my father has done for me. Aside from the money, knowledge, and love he has impressed upon me my whole life, he has also given me an appreciation for music which has seen me through some tough times of our lives. I wish my financial stance left me in a position to do something for him. Alas, starving and college student tend to go hand in hand and I have nothing but my words of praise and love for him. I know these words would suffice for his patient, loving, and understanding mind but my wish is for more. Which is why I’m willing to sit here and blog beautiful praises about him to complete strangers. So they would know what it is to have such an amazing father, a father who simultaneously runs a business, loves a wife, puts two kids through college, and all the while teaching them more then they could ever learn in schools. Love ya’ dad!

Becoming a first time dad at the age of 50 sometimes can be very overwhelming. He could really use this on days when he needs to relax and unwind and tune out the noise that the kids make.
I think that my stepdad should win becuase even though he is my stepdad he has always treated me as a daughter of his. He always asks my mom if I need anything cause he would send it right away. He’s a good guy and I’m glad he married my mom.

I met my husband five years ago. I had been alone with two children for twelve years. I had dated on and off but could never find someone that was right for the three of us. And then i met my husband.
He has definitely been everything that we could have hoped for and is a Perfect fit to us. He has always treated my children as if they were his. And is more than happy to attend conferences, games and anything else that my children participate in. He has stood with me through the teen years and I seriously don’t know what I would do without him.

My hubby is the hardest working man I know. After a sever injury that required him to be retired early from the military he could easily play the sympathy card, but that is not his nature. He started his own business and works incredibly hard every day to provide for his family so that I can continue to be a stay home mom and home school our children. My Dad deserves this because he has been going through tough times lately regarding his health. This would really cheer him up!
I cannot say that my hubby deserves this MORE than any other dad, because as I read the comments on this blog, I become increasingly aware of how many GREAT dads there are!
However, I am entering, because finances are very tight and I would love to win this for my hubby to use on his commute to work. Just this last week he decided it is time to ride the bus for the commute from our town to the place he works with the price of gas increasing. I know he will miss his radio for the ride. My husband works a full time job Wednesday 1:30 am – 7:00 am, Thursday Friday and Saturday 7;00 pm – 7:00 am, he works every weekend every holiday.
He then works a part time job Monday and Tuesday 4:00 am – 3:00 pm.
He never asks for anything and money is tight so I feel he deserves to win this. He misses out on the kids sporting a music events, the kids vacation days and so much more.

Unfortunately an accident left him with some brain damage — he’s still much the same person, but his ability to write music has been severely impacted. Greg’s laptop just died COMPLETELY. First it was the screen. He had to resort to plugging an external monitor in. Now it won’t even turn on. It’s only a year old. He now uses my laptop, which keeps overheating and it cuts off. Sometimes the screen goes out as well. He needs something to cheer him up! Plus he’s a doggone good dad and fiance!

Hmm, its hard to sum up the word as to why my father NEEDS one of these fancy gadgets… it may be his sense of humor even in the worst of times… it may be his unconditional love to his wonderful wife (my mama)… it may be his contagious happiness- i swear he never sees negatives anymore… it may be his support for me, the youngest, going off to college without the funds to pay for it all– but he nvr lets me see his worry…. or it may be because he’s the one I call dad. The only one in the world that I would ever call dad.
If I listed all of the things my husband does, the list could circle the earth. He’s an amazing dad to our young boys, and I really appreciate the fact that he’s always there. Unlike most of my friends, I don’t do most of the parenting, he does. He’s better at it too. I’m better at making sure the kids get balanced meals, but he’s better at making them feel important and loved (I’m not saying I’m bad at that, but he’s definitely better – I learn a lot from him). He’s especially good at seeing things from the boys’ point of view, something else I learn from him. I can already tell that he’s going to be their best friend!

Jeez. It may be virtually impossible to list all the reasons my dad deserves to win. Well, he was a paratroopler in the Army. He kept me and all my siblings tough throughout life, no matter what kind of curveballs it threw at us. We went through many hard times and right when you would think a father would cripple under pressure, he stood strong and always trusted the Lord. He is #1 in my book, no matter what anyone else says. (Hi, im Robert Petersen from N.C, and im 13 years old and never been prouder of my dad!)
My hubby deserves this because he works 7 days a week, 13 hr days to make our business prosper and provide for our family. He gets very little sleep but still makes sure he makes time for our 3 girls.

My dad is the ultimate handy man! If you want something made, his creativity will step in and he will amaze you with his talents. He will even read up on something, then build, repair, or make something. He is funny, punctual, and gets things done. He is an awesome dad by far! Very intelligent and loving.
I miss my Dad’s sense of fun, joking, he always had a calm way of looking at any problem and without raising his voice making the culprit feel awful. He was always the life of any party too. Think I’ll cry now, remembering is hard.
My friend never gets anything selfishly. Would be a nice surprise!
He’s sweet, considerate, hard working and sacrifies everything for his family! He always makes sure he spends time with his kids and is a loving and loyal dad!
My hubby had a horrible childhood but he is very forgiving and let it go and decided to be the opposite of what he knew and is a really great dad. He went from barely feeding himself to supporting me and our 4 kids. He works all night so I can stay at home with the kids. He loves to cook and does that everyday for me! He used to have a cell phone but its just one of the many things he gave up so I wouldn’t have to work. There really are alot of great dad’s out there and he certainly is one of them.

My dad deserves to win, because he does a lot of for the community. He is a Voluntary Firefighter and Rescue worker. He has paid out of his own pocket to go to Rescue school for four months and then he turned around and now is just finished Fire school which was also another four months. He goes to school and has to work too to support our family. When ever a holiday comes up, the Fire Department usually does something. Like a parade or show and my dad always does that kind of stuff. He deserves to win because then he can enjoy one of his favorite things in the world; Music, well he is out working hard.

You know, this is difficult for me but I have seen my dad’s character to take care of the family. He has leukemia and not many years left (if that) and yet he is working hard as a mechanic nearly 10hrs a day to support our family. That is amazing to me, because his love for our family is stronger then his pain! He does have the option to get disability and just stay home, but he wants to take care of the family and secure a future for us when he is gone because disability pay is not much. He is a warrior to me. He would also love this gift to take to work with him to help take his mind off the pain. Regardless if I win or not, my father has shown true character and love despite the most horrible pain he goes through and I love him dearly.
I think that my fiance deserves this gift because not only does he take care of me, he’s taken on my two boys, ages 7 and 8. My 8 year old is special needs and that didn’t even cause him to pause or hesitate. He loves my boys as if they were his own and he’s changed all of our lives for the better. Before him, I didn’t believe that I was worthy of love or anything else and he loves me enough to be patient with me while I learn who I am. He is a remarkable man.

A year after being widowed, I met a wonderful man who is so much like me that we both wondered if we might be related (we’re not, phew!) Even though I didn’t want to remarry, he has always helped me raise my son to be a fine young man with a great sense of humor, adventure, and values. Nothing my son or I could give him could ever show him how invaluable he’s been to us both and how much we both love him. But a Zune would be a nice surprise for him.
My Dad deserves this Zune because he works hard everyday and he gets deployed a lot and a good way for him to get through the times and remember his family is to listen to the songs and remember family moments we have had.

My father deserves to win the Zune because he got me one for Christmas and I didn’t even ask for it. I had no idea how cool it was and now it’s my favorite — it’s with me all the time. So my dad deserves one because he turned me on to all the cool music like Zeppelin and he got me a Zune, but he doesn’t have one for himself.
I miss my Dad so much–he died when I was 19. He would have loved the Zune because he loved music. There was no generation gap between us–we used to borrow each other’s records all the time! I loved borrowing his Benny Goodman while he enjoyed borrowing my Bob Seger! We had so much fun together when he was alive, that I will never stop missing him. Dad was never too busy to be a father to me. He used to take me out to lunch or to the mall on a regular basis. Listening to music would be a wonderful way to honor his memory.
My hubby is definitely the dad who deserves to win. We have a 2 y/o with special medical needs, so I stay at home. He makes sure that every Saturday I have the day to myself, and never hesitates to stay home if I ask him to at other times. I own a Zune and use it about 8 hours a day. It is great for my Spanish lessons. I’m pretty sure the kids won’t get me another, but you just never know when this one might quit on me.

Am I allowed to be selfish and say that I deserve to win it? Because, honestly, I’ve had to be both father and mother to my kids. Father’s Day is such a melancholy holiday for me and my kids. My own dad and I barely keep in touch because…well, he was certainly never nominated for Father of the Year, let’s put it that way. And my stepdad? Not much of an improvement.
As far as my kids’ fathers. I’ve raised my girls without a father except for the little one’s dad who just resurfaced a little over a year ago and has done everything he can to make our lives hell ever since then. And my son’s father, well, he kidnapped him and moved him out of state and it took me 9 months to track him down so by the time I actually got any help with it, it had been a year since I’d seen my son.
So when it comes to deserving fathers, I’m not fortunate enough to know any in my own personal life. However, it does bring tears to my eyes to read some of these other comments (no, I didn’t read all 499 but I did read a few of them) and to realize that for every “deadbeat dad” out there, there are at least five GOOD dads… dads that coach baseball teams, dads that missed their child’s birth because they were serving our country, dads who rarely left their sick child’s side, dads who have been pooped on and puked on and dads that who have taken on the responsibility of raising children that don’t share one speck of their DNA but they love them just the same as if they were their own flesh and blood…
Having said that, I’d like to win this Zune myself, for being both Father and Mother to my kids, for picking up the slack and healing the wounds their actual fathers left open…

Our boy has many serious health problems, and is “total care”. My husband retired at fifty-five nine years ago so he could be home to help me with him. I don’t know what my son or I would ever do with out this incredible man. We have never owned a camcorder, and now we have grandchildren too. What a gift it would be to a dad and grand dad who gives so much of himself everyday.

in october we discovered that my son and his girlfriend had made a suicide pact – my husband completely stepped in and took my son into emergency where we were able to get help and we have been going into the city for family counciling and various apt.s to help him get better. My husband opened up and now we are a stronger family.

My SO is one of the best dads in the world!!! When his kids were 3, 6, and 9, their mother(and I use the term loosely) ran off with some guy she met on the Internet. It was really hard on him to try to work 60 hours a week just to keep their heads above water, especially since she ran up a lot of bills before she left and did not pay the first dime of child support for 2 years. When we first met, he told me about his kids right away so if I wanted to run, I could. Well, I stayed and I am so glad I did. A year ago this month, he fell while trying to do some remodeling on our house and broke both wrists. Since then, he has been unemployed since he was a heavy duty mechanic and can no longer work with his hands. Thru it all though, he has managed to make sure the kids never do without and has always kept a smile on his face. Any man can be a sperm donor, but it takes a special one to be a Dad!!!

My father and father-in-law are both passed on now,but Father’s Day is still very special to me because they were such great fathers.
The man in my life is my soul mate and a wonderful father to our three kids. He deserves a special gift for Fathers Day for being so loving and giving and just to show him how much he means to us.
My husband is an awesome dad to our 3 children. Our oldest son is 22,youngest is 13 and our daughter is 18. There have been so many challenges, but dad has always been there with lots of hugs and plenty of good advice. Oh and lots of humor too!
My dad is encouraging and supportive of the things that I do. He always made me feel like a star. He came to all my performances and waited to greet me with flowers and hugs. He proudly cheered for me at graduation and gives me the star treatment when I visit. Happy Fathers Day, Daddy!

My husband Alan really deserves a Zune, because he’s trying VERY hard to take care of his health (for his family). He’s walking every day, but he doesn’t have an mp3 player & I think that this would make his walk much more enjoyable.

My husband Hudson is so selfless and generous in every way possible. We have 3 young children all under the age of 10 and to make ends meet Hudson works 2 jobs just so the kids and I have everything we need. Hudson never complains about anything, how tired he is, how he needs new shoes, how he really needs a new car, how he never has time to himself, how many odd jobs I leave him lists to do around the house, you get the idea. Hudson loves gadgets (he a real techie) and he is always researching online about what the latest and greatest electronic products are and what is about to come out even though he knows he can’t spend the money on them at this point in our life. He is always willing to make any sacrifice needed to insure that we are all taken care of, and that is why I would love to win this for him. He loves music, and in high school and college he was even in a band (he plays bass guitar). He would love to use this Zune player while he is working around the house or playing with the kids. Very funny story. We have an ipod, and my dad who is 52 was over the other day. He asked what that thing hooked into my daughter’s ear was. I told him it was her ipod. She let him listen and showed him how to work it. He had a little smile on his face. I cannot imagine he has never heard of it, but he seemed geniunely interested in my daughters. My stepdad deserves it because he stepped in and raised me and my brother when my biological dad wouldn’t. He is a wonderful man!
I wanted to get a cake for him. He told me not to make a fuss over him. He has been the best father/role model to our four sons. He is the most self sacrificing person I’ve ever known. Never calls in sick to work as he works on commission. Never asks for anything for himself. Always takes time to spend with each child and treats me like a queen.
My dad has sacrificed more than anyone for our family. He is an incredibly hard worker and never buys things for himself. I would love to be able to give this to him as a source of relaxation that is much deserved. Thank you for this giveaway!

My dad is great! He is always there for us.
For my dad for putting up with me for all of those years and all of my crap. I am trying to do him proud now. But he is retired and is busy with projects and this would be great for him to listen to music while doing his work.
This dad needs something for his long commutes to work, his walks he takes with a super-huge dog and those times when the girls in the house start singing karaoke.

He works atleast 84 hours a week at his full time job to provide for our family and still has time to entertain our young sons and myself. No matter how tired he is, he makes time for us. My father has always been there to give me guidance but let me earn the knowledge of life on my own never forcing his own ways on me. He often tells me how proud he is and has always been my hero, not for any miraculous feat but by the way he has always carried himself. He is my life role model.
My Dad deserves this because of all of the bad luck he has had lately, yet he is still so positive. First, a pipe froze and broke doing massive damage to the garage and kitchen.
Then last weekend, a storm came in and he lost 10 trees, some of them 150 year old white pines. One of the trees damaged the house too.

Dad deserves to win for oh so many reasons. The man “retired” 2 years ago and yet works harder than anyone I know. My wonderful man deserves this Zune because he is a good man,happy ,loving ,the kids and I can talk to him about anything,ask him for everything and he is always so kind. I am a single dad of a 6 and 8 year old that spends most of his free time taking the kids to thier event and practices and would not give not up for anything just be nice to have some music when doing the driving.

Hi, what a fantastic Father’s Day giveaway prize! I think my Dad deserves to win this because he is very supportive of everything that my Mom has been going through with her various health problems such as Orthoscopic knee surgery, recent eye surgery and her benign tremors. He continues to have all of these bills come in for her in addition to the many Doctors other than what the above take care of! She gets upset often and overwhelmed with her health issues and he’s right there to tell her ‘don’t worry God will continue to supply and take care of us’. I’m amazed really I am!! He puts himself on the backburner working 2 jobs to provide for us and pay all of her Doctor bills and all of her prescriptions. Her eye Doctor today told her she could go blind (she has Glaucoma and Cataracts, etc) if she doesn’t continue taking her eye drops daily for the rest of her life. I’m getting teary eyed now just typing this. My Dad is there to support her and no matter what it takes, he will make sure she gets the help and prescriptions needed. I really would love to win this for him, please! He’s done so much for her, I would love to give him something he would enjoy!
