Belly Bar Review and Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to commentor #26: Cass!

My new little guy, Noah, made his appearance on St. Patrick’s Day!  And a week later I got these yummy bars in the mail by Bellybar.  Some say they are for pregnant mamas, but I think they’d be good anytime!  The bonus for those still pregnant is all the nutrients, specifically DHA, that these bars contain help with your pregnancy.

Bellybar makes 4 yummy flavors of snack bars as well as 2 flavors of Bellybar Chews and 2 flavors of shakes.  BellybarsI received Mellow Oat, Baby Needs Chocolate, and Berry Nutty Cravings.  They were all delicious (I had to share them with my 3 year old!), but the Berry Nutty Cravings was my favorite!

Each bar is good sized and has a yogurty coating on one side for that little bit of sweetness.  While I wouldn’t say it made a meal, for this nursing mama they made a great snack between meals!

I also received some Citrus Bellybar chews – I think these would be really good if you had morning sickness – and a Due for Chocolate shake.  I’m not a milkshake fan, but even warm it was good.  Yes, I had to drink it as we were walking home from the post office!

You can buy all these products from the Bellybar website or look up a store near you that carries them.

Win It!

We have 3 Bellybar prize packs to give away that each include the following:

  • 1 bar of each Bellybar flavor: Mellow Oat, Berry Nutty Cravings, Baby Needs Chocolate
  • 1 shake of each flavor: Due for Chocolate, Vanilla Dreams
  • 1 pouch of Citrus on Board Bellybar Chews

Just stop by Bellybar before midnight, (April 12th) and check out their site.

  • Then come back and mention in comments something new you learned. That’s it!
  • A random winner will be selected and notified via email shortly thereafter.
  • The winner will then have 2 days to claim their prize.

To earn extra entries, you may do one or all of the following. Each one counts as an extra ticket but you must leave a separate comment for each one.

This post was written for Bellybar who provided the items for review and giveaway. I was not compensated in any way except for the complimentary product. By entering this giveaway, you are acknowledging that you have read, understood, and agree to our disclosure policy.

I learned a little something about Vitamin A in the FAQ’s:

Vitamin A is important for aiding cell and organ development in the fetus. Many women are slightly deficient in Vitamin A, thus requiring a low level of supplemental Vitamin A.

When you don’t get the nutrition you need, your baby doesn’t get it either. Bellybar can help you get the nutrients and extra calories you need. Bellybar comes packed with extra dietary vitamins and minerals, which are derived from natural ingredients such as flaxseed for Omega 3 fatty acids.

Vitamin A is important for aiding cell and organ development in the fetus. Many women are slightly deficient in Vitamin A, thus requiring a low level of supplemental Vitamin A. Beta-carotene, the Vitamin A source in Bellybar, is a water soluble, natural source that is converted to Vitamin A in the body. The body converts the amount of Vitamin A needed, and excretes any excess.
