Both my girls have iPods and they love them. My only concern is all the studies out there about playing MP3s too loud and the affects it may have on hearing. So when I heard that the Audéo earphones recently received high marks from a reviewer from Scholastic for the product’s quality and sound safety levels for children, I jumped at the chance to try them out.
From Brain Nadel’s review: “The sound is nothing short of phenomenal, with balanced low, high and mid-range tones, particularly compared to the typical headsets that most schools provide. Capable of reproducing between 5- and 17,000-hertz, the Audeo earphone’s output is accurate, even at low volume. The big payoff is that kids no longer have to turn up the volume on cheap headsets into the danger zone in order to hear what’s going on.”
I had Girlie Girl try these out since she’s the one I’m always telling to “turn down the volume”. I thought the earbuds may be a little too big for her since she’s only six but they fit her fine. Because the sound quality is so precise, she didn’t need to turn it on loud in order to hear her favorite songs . . . even in the car when I’m usually playing my tunes on the radio.
As for me, I usually listen to my iPod when I’m on the plane and find that I have to turn it up to drown out the sound of the engines. With Audeo, the external noise was kept to a minimum which meant that I could play my tunes at a lower volume. Surprisingly, this did not dimish the sound quality. Everything sounded crisp and clean.
Overall, we loved it! The cost of the Audeo Perfect Fit Earphones are a little more than what we would normally spend, however, it’s totally worth it when you compare it to the cost of damaging your hearing.

I love the fact the earbuds are adjustable by changing the “tips” that fit into your ear….I have very small ear canals, and have a hard rime finding good quality buds that will fit!

I use my Sansa at work and need some earphones that fit.
These appear to be excellent quality. I have two teens asking for earphones for Christmas and it would be great to win a pair.
What I like about these are that they look so comfortable and it’s really hard to find comfortable earphones. And the quality looks fantastic.
I have smaller than normal ear cannals so wearing regular ear buds ends up causing me discomfort. It would be wonderful to have some that actually fit!

My husband like to listen to radio stations from Poland and the language barrier is a problem for me. This would keep both of us comfortable.

These sound really neat (no pun intended)! My earbuds recently broke while I was babysitting, which was quite unfortunate, because I had a number of podcasts ready to help me study for finals. However, if I do end up flying across the country in the next month to visit my dear brother, having these would certainly help, and I’m sure those sitting next to me on the plane would appreciate non-blaring music. =)
