Both my girls have iPods and they love them. My only concern is all the studies out there about playing MP3s too loud and the affects it may have on hearing. So when I heard that the Audéo earphones recently received high marks from a reviewer from Scholastic for the product’s quality and sound safety levels for children, I jumped at the chance to try them out.
From Brain Nadel’s review: “The sound is nothing short of phenomenal, with balanced low, high and mid-range tones, particularly compared to the typical headsets that most schools provide. Capable of reproducing between 5- and 17,000-hertz, the Audeo earphone’s output is accurate, even at low volume. The big payoff is that kids no longer have to turn up the volume on cheap headsets into the danger zone in order to hear what’s going on.”
I had Girlie Girl try these out since she’s the one I’m always telling to “turn down the volume”. I thought the earbuds may be a little too big for her since she’s only six but they fit her fine. Because the sound quality is so precise, she didn’t need to turn it on loud in order to hear her favorite songs . . . even in the car when I’m usually playing my tunes on the radio.
As for me, I usually listen to my iPod when I’m on the plane and find that I have to turn it up to drown out the sound of the engines. With Audeo, the external noise was kept to a minimum which meant that I could play my tunes at a lower volume. Surprisingly, this did not dimish the sound quality. Everything sounded crisp and clean.
Overall, we loved it! The cost of the Audeo Perfect Fit Earphones are a little more than what we would normally spend, however, it’s totally worth it when you compare it to the cost of damaging your hearing.

I love the fact the earbuds are adjustable by changing the “tips” that fit into your ear….I have very small ear canals, and have a hard rime finding good quality buds that will fit!

These appear to be excellent quality. I have two teens asking for earphones for Christmas and it would be great to win a pair.
What I like about these are that they look so comfortable and it’s really hard to find comfortable earphones. And the quality looks fantastic.
I have smaller than normal ear cannals so wearing regular ear buds ends up causing me discomfort. It would be wonderful to have some that actually fit!

These sound really neat (no pun intended)! My earbuds recently broke while I was babysitting, which was quite unfortunate, because I had a number of podcasts ready to help me study for finals. However, if I do end up flying across the country in the next month to visit my dear brother, having these would certainly help, and I’m sure those sitting next to me on the plane would appreciate non-blaring music. =)

First of all, earbuds that actuall fit without popping out would be fantastic! I would also love t have these for travel. My noise cancelling headphones are just too bulky and anything that reduces what I carry on the plane would be a welcome choice.

I was reading the care and instructions and found out that you should Make sure that the audio filters are in place before using the earphones. I love the design, I know it’s shallow, but they save your hearing and they are also very stylish looking

I like that they block out ambient noise – my current headphones sure don’t!
I don’t know if this has anything to do with their website, but the spacious area around the actual ear bud is great for me. A lot of the ear buds I have can’t really fit since the extender part like you have the circular bud that goes in your ear, then an extension (horizontal) that connects you to a vertical piece then to the wire. The horizontal part gives me lots of room for my ear.. If you understand what I said…
Love the background… anyways.. the ear buds are the sound blocking kinds and those fit wonderfully in my ears! They’re also easy to wipe off if they’re dirty.
The cable length makes me happy! Not too long, not too short, and the frequency range is pretty good compared to other ear phones!
I love how they also give you foam tips and cleaning products. I also like the fit of the tips.
I like how you can replace the audio filters. It makes it a better quality earphone.

Wow! I would LOVE to win these for my son. He listens to his Ipod & I do worry about harm that might be done to his ears. I don’t think I could afford these – crossing my fingers for his ears’ sake.

I’d love to win these. Headphones don’t seem to last to long for me, so these would be a blessing!
I listen to an iPod while commuting to / from work during the week, about 2 hours a day, and I have yet to find a pair of earbuds that I am happy with…issues with static; always losing the foam covers; problems with the connection to the iPod, etc. The Audeo earphones look like a high end product whose performance should easily outpace the original’s that came with the iPod, and the modest replacements that I have purchased at the local electronics box store.

These look wonderful! The regular ear buds that come with the iPods and Zune and others that are similiar tend to hurt my ears after a little while. The noise cancelling and the way they claim to fit sound perfect!

These are great, I have a hard time finding earbuds to fit, but with changing pads, that won’t be a problem.
Oh I would so love to have these! I’m very very picky with my headphones since I use them absolutely every day. My current pair got a little mangled so they’re uncomfortable now but I haven’t been able to spring for new ones yet!

These look great and after about an hour of my ipod my ears really start to bug me. Hopefully these will be more comfortable.
I listen to my MP3 player everyday on Portland’s MAX (1 hour each way) to work. The earphones that I have currently are very uncomfortable.
I like that it limits the decibel level so I do not have to worry how loud my son listens to his ipod.
I would love to win the Audeo earphones because I had a stroke to the inner ear three years ago that caused me to be deaf in the left ear. After the stroke I was diagnosed with autoimmune inner ear disease, so saving the rest of my hearing is paramount. I have an iPod but don’t play it much because I am afraid of damaging the rest of my hearing. Also, ambient noise is a problem. I like what I am reading about Audeo and how the device tackles ambient noise. Make my Christmas. I’d love to win these.

The reason I would love to win these amazing Audeo Perfect Fit Earphones is so I can surprise my son with them! He is going to be receiving his first MP3 player for Christmas this year. We purchased a Zune for him. He is only 11 years old and I do worry about any overly loud music hurting his ear drums and also that he will be too distracted while listening to music. He is just exploring different music genres now and sort of trying to find what he likes and dislikes. I love that these Audeo earphones have the feature that kids no longer have to turn up the volume on cheap headsets into the danger zone in order to hear what’s going on. It would give me such great peace of mind knowing that listening to his music with these earphones will not damage his hearing! Thank you for the opportunity to enter.
