This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to commentor #17: Sandy M!

DH has a lot of backpacks . . . and when I say a lot I mean like 30 of them. So when it comes to these types of bags he’s pretty much an expert. To me, they all look the same. But then again, he would probably say the same thing about my handbags. So when I had the opportunity to review the Alpha Sherpa Diaper Backpack, I knew he’d be perfect for it.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In October of 2000, Heather Campbell-Dewar and her husband Gary became parents for the first time to baby Camryn. After having their baby they could not find a technical diaper bag backpack for all of the baby gear that they needed to haul around. Instead of complaining about it, they retained a world class diaper bag backpack designer and designed and manufactured a technical diaper bag backpack. This became what is now known as the Baby Sherpa, a diaper bag backpack that is multifunctional and ergonomically designed.

OUR REVIEW

Talk about versatile! This bag has absolutely every feature you could think of . . . cooler, deep compartments, 10 interior and outer pockets, changing pad, a padded pocket for fragile items, bungee cord X for blankets & jackets, bottle holder, and even toy loops.

It’s very hard to impress DH when it comes to backpacks but he absolutely loved this one. His favorite feature was the insulated cooler which allows him to carry around milk bottles as well as water bottles for himself. The padded pocket will also come in handy when we carry our video camera. We usually end up having to carry a separate camera bag and I’m always afraid that we’ll put it down and forget it somewhere. With the Alpha Sherpa Diaper Backpack, we can keep everything in one place and also organized within the various pockets. There’s even a pocket to carry your laptop! Talk about blogging on-the-go!

And if all those features weren’t enough, this backpack is PVC Free, water resistant, and very easy to clean. Just wipe it down and you’re ready to go.

My main concern was how comfortable the bag would be with all that weight in it. However, after packing it with tons of stuff it still held it’s shape and was pretty comfortable to wear. It was a little heavy for me but  the padded straps helped distribute the weight and relieve pressure on my shoulders. Of course, DH had no problems carrying it. He’s so excited to have the Baby Sherpa Diaper Backpack that he’s already packing it in preparation for baby!

The insulated cooler and laptop pocket are definitely my favorite features! Even though we don’t have an infant in diapers, we have our “baby” Nano (the Yorkie) who goes just about everywhere with us, and between his stuff and my meds and necessities, this bag is perfect. It would also be perfect to put on the back of my wheelchair for times when we are going to be out a long time and I can’t walk.
Thanks very much for the chance to win.

I love that it has a built in soft sided cooler and that it looks manly which means that I can get my husband to take it when he takes the baby. So often he refused to take my red flowered diaper bag and then is upset when his outing gets cut short b/c the baby needs a diaper change.

I made the mistake of showing hubby the backpack (he carries a backpack nearly everywhere we go anyway) and he fell in love. Sigh.

He says the parent pack section is awesome, because he won’t have to allocate “real” space to the baby stuff – it’ll all be easy to get to in it’s own place.

Wow, this Alpha Sherpa Diaper Backpack would really make my husband’s day a little brighter! There are so many useful and functional features about this backpack that we would find so beneficial. I like that it can accommodate carrying all the important necessities in life, first and foremost, our daughter’s diaper changing gear, but also my husband’s laptop, cell phone, and the ability to keep snacks and bottles cold by being insulated! Now that is one amazing backpack! The fact that is multi-tasks in being able to fit so much into it is most appealing! It’s ergo design with padded shoulder straps, sternum strap and optional waist belt also is an added plus, comfort is so important when you are lugging around a lot of gear!

Thank you so much for the chance to enter.
