$250 VISA Gift Card Giveaway
This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to commentor #169: Andrea H!
It’s only one more year until the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, BC and I can’t wait! Winter is my favorite season of the year and I love watching all the “cold weather” sports competitions. But how cool would it be to actually see these events in person?
Hilton Worldwide is hosting a sweepstakes where one lucky person could win a trip to the Olympics, complete with airfare, hotel accommodations, event tickets and the chance to hang out with Team USA athletes! Talk about the opportunity of a lifetime! There will also be 100 secondary prizes, provided by 24 Hour Fitness®, United Airlines®, Visa®, TeamUSAShop.com and others.
To enter the Official Guest of Team USA Sweepstakes, book online at the Go For The Goldâ„¢ rate and stay at any participating U.S. hotel within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio of brands between November 2 and December 31, 2009. Every stay is a chance to win, up to 10 stays.
WIN IT!
To help promote this awesome contest, we’re giving away a $250 VISA card to one lucky person right here! To enter:

Bonnie Blair winning 5 gold medals in speed skating in the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympic Games. I remember watching her and being very proud of her accomplishments.

Wow there are so many!! Watching Dorothy Hamill and Scott Hamilton win their gold medals was amazing. One year there was a Polish skater that got so excited after his short program it was cute. I can’t remember his name.

I have to agree and say the US hockey team winning the gold!
I also have to say Bonnie Blair winning 5 gold medals in speed skating in the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympic Games. I was so proud, because she was raised in Champaign, Illinois. Just a couple of hours from me. It was so neat having an Illinois girl win!

My favorite Winter Olympics memory was when the US hockey team beat Russia. There was no internet back then (it was 1980) so the announcement was made by our priest on the altar in church – it was THAT important. Everyone was over the moon – it was truly special!
My favorite Winter games moment was when they gave out the two gold medals for double figure skating the year that there was judge tampering. I was so impressed that they made an exception for that event to be fair to all the skaters

The 1994 Olympics are memorable to me because of the Tonya Harding/ Nancy Kerrigan situation. I was riveted.
