Congratulations!
Whenever I go out with the girls, I try to make sure I bring along enough things to keep them occupied. However, sometimes a quick run to the market turns into a longer adventure. That’s why I have my iPhone filled with various kid applications “just in case”. When I was contacted by Duck Duck Moose about a new one called Wheels on the Bus, I was very interested in trying it out.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Wheels on the Bus is a fun, interactive musical book, based on the popular children’s song. Come aboard the bus to spin the wheels, open and close the doors, swish the wipers, pop some bubbles, make a dog bark, and much more!
MY REVIEW
Wheels on the Bus is one of my family’s favorite songs and my girls were thrilled with this new application. Since they were already familiar with this tune, they knew exactly what to do with the various parts of the song. However, what they didn’t expect were all the little extra movements they discovered in each scene. It was kind of like a hide-and-seek thing for them.
I liked that you could record your own voice and be a part of the story. It made the song more personal and interactive and my kids loved that they could hear my voice whenever they wanted to. Even better is that you can listen to this song in 5 different languages and in various other musical instruments. My girls favorite was the kazoo. They thought it was hilarious!
Overall, we loved Wheels on the Bus. The colors were bright, the characters were lovable, and most importantly it held my girls attention when I needed it to. It’s aimed for younger children from 18 months but my 6 year old loved it, too!

I like that you can record your own (or your child’s) voice, and also that you can experience it in different languages. We’re working on Spanish and French with Bootsie Baby – what a fun way to reinforce what she’s already learning!
