Thank you for participating in this month’s photo contest: Springtime. Please use the poll below to vote for your favorite entry. Good luck to everyone!
The Ice Box: Morning dew on a springtime rose
Thom’s Place 4 Well Whatever: Springtime to me, as does any other season, is best when you have kids involved and just enjoying a beautiful day in the yard and the memories that will be with you for a lifetime
Enjoy Life, Enjoy Now: Springtime to me is new life, flowers, GREEN, and just having fun and enjoying the
weather since being locked up all winter
Ordinarily Just Me: This photo is what Sprintime means to me. It was taken in 2005 on the way to my wedding.
Harwood Harbor: Springtime is brave little buds fighting through the dead from the fall and the cold from the winter to coax the sun out of it’s hiding place and smiles out of humans.

Aw, darn. I meant to submit a photo for this. On the other hand, I would’ve been in good company (and I wouldn’t have won!).
So tough to choose … Mary seems to be a professional photographer!
But, based on the theme and the clarity and feeling of the shot, I have to choose the pic by Harwood Harbor. It uses the photographer’s rule of thirds well. And I like the contrast of the purple and brown; it calls to mind poet T.S. Eliot’s “April is the cruellest month,/breeding lilacs out of the dead land” (to paraphrase from memory).
Good luck, all! Great photos!

I thought ALL the photos were just beautifully taken, but I had to go with Harwood Harbor.
Seeing that little bud emerging from all the dried debris around it and surviving the cold of winter–Now, THAT’S truly a SPRINGTIME moment.
Good job Harwood Harbor.
I vote for Harwood Harbor.
Such beautiful spring photos. It was very hard to choose one.
