(My old boss is retired and STILL emails me for the dirt!) I'd say the worst gift she gave me over the years which immediately went into the trash was a combo of a plaster toucan pin with some kind of blood stain on the back and a pair of used GLASS earrings. Not to be graphic but I knew they were used b/c there was ear crud on the posts. I thought I was going to retch. I needed a new vehicle, but was pushing for an SUV. I went out of town to visit MIL. When DH picked me up at the airport, we got into a brand spanking new Nissan Quest. He had researched, test driven, etc to see how I would like it. He was absolutely right! I love it. One of the best gifts because I didn't know I wanted it! But the list could go on - for my birthday last week, he bought me a Roomba. I've been thinking about getting a new one to take to Spain so I'm on camera high alert at the moment. The best gift I've ever received was probably the spectacular 1.2 carat white gold diamond ring I received from my hubby last birthday. It's gorgeous and was long overdue. He told me he was going to buy it for my son's birth, but it took an extra 3.5 years to actually arrive. Better late than never though, right. And no I don't get gifts like this all the time. This is only the second piece of expensive jewellery he's bought me in almost 12 years, the first being my wedding ring. The worst present I have ever been given was a sex toy by a new boyfriend. It was so out of context with our relationship and presumptuous that I dumped him the next day. My skin still crawls thinking about it. If you think I'm joking, sadly I'm not. Yuck. Double yuck. I started laughing because I seriously thought it was a joke! I said outloud "funny joke" but I was really kind of confused and completely shocked! It was no joke!! He was upset and I felt really bad but I still don't understand it. We broke up years later... maybe I should have seen that as some kind of sign!
