Friday’s Feast #132

February 23, 2007

Where on your body do you have a scar, and what caused it?

I have a scar on my right cheek. My grandparent’s dog attacked me when I was 8 and I had to get 5 stitches.

What is something that has happened to you that you would consider a miracle?

We were told that Girlie Girl would probably be an only child. Baby Bug was a wonderful miracle!

Name a television personality who really gets on your nerves.

Paula Abdul ~ I really liked her when she first started on American Idol but now she’s so out there!

Main Course

What was a funny word you said as a child (such as “pasketti” for “spaghetti”)?

I have no idea.

Fill in the blank: I have always thought ______ was ______.

I have always thought that shopping was a form of excercise!

ooh! Bad dog! Paula sometimes looks like she’s all hammuhs and doped up or something. And your dessert is da bomb! :) I would say Baby Bug is a miracle and such a good one. She’s so cute!

Thanks for stopping by.

Love your dessert too. It really made me smile.
Thanks for stopping by.

Stephanie said:

ooooo I like this one!

Poor old Paula does seem a little too ‘relaxed’ these days doesn’t she?

Melli said:

I think for YOU shopping IS exercise! You have to carry alllllllllllllllll those bags — RIGHT??? LOL!

And FOUL! on Grandma’s dog! That is just NOT nice! You might expect that from a “strange” dog … but not from Grandma’s dog! How rude!

That’s what the stroller is for, carrying shopping bags! LOL! Sometimes I’m tempted to take it even if the baby is not with me.

Hootin' Anni said:

Oh I’ll take 2nd helpings of your dessert!!!

Mine’s posted

Ma said:

Sista, I’m back to tell you that I love this new look! This theme so matches the title An Island Life. Just awesome!

Susan said:

I had to laugh because I kept wondering what Paula did with her hair two nights ago. It looked better last night.

Have a great weekend. My feast is up, too.

Is that the night she looked like she had a fake hairpiece hanging from the back of her head?

Barbara H. said:

Loved your soup! And LOL @ your dessert. :)

Pamela said:

I had a daughter that said Puzsgetti (spagetti) and Racamoni (macaroni)

Love your little miracle, even though she bites!! giggle

Renee said:

Scar? I have many. There are two hidden in my eyebrow. One from the coffee table and the other from a car accident…my dad flipped our VW van.

Miracle? A twister picked up our shed and threw it at our house…3 inches from the window that I was asleep in front of.

TV? Emeril. I used to like him but then I noticed how often he was doing stuff just to get the crowd to react.

Funny word? I don’t know either. Oldest of 4 mom forgot too.

blank was blank? I have always thought that hummmm… I don’t know that one yet. More thinking required.

Jami said:

What a beautiful miracle - we call our baby “Bug”, too! Thanks for stopping by my feast :D

Raggedy said:

What?? Shopping is not a form of exercise???? I just posted my first feast, not sure if I did it right though.

I’m with you with Paula Abdula. And a dog bit you when you were?! Whoa.

A dog chased me when I was 7. I’m still scared of them.

The land of the perpetual blog transformations! I love coming here to see what you have that is new. Do you do all this yourself?

I am with you on Paula. She is driving me INSANE with that walrus clap of hers that she has acquired over the years.

Actually, the three themes were done by three different people . . . none of them me :-)

roman said:

It’s too bad you didn’t have a funny word to share. :(
Enjoy your Friday night and weekend too.

paperback writer said:

Yes, I have to agree with you about Paula!

Bellezza said:

The only good thing about Paula Abdul is that she gives SOME encouragement to the poor contestants lambasted by Randy. (”What’s up, dog?” is overdone in my book!) But, am I being petty when I mention that the way Paula claps with her fingers straight out drives me crazy? And, if only shopping were exercise for anything but our bank accounts…

Her clapping drives me crazy, too. That and the arm pumping she does when she really likes a performance.

JHS said:

So did you design this spiffy new layout yourself?

I’m with you on Paula Abdul. I caught a few moments of Idol the other night and thought, “What is up with her?” Weird.

My feast is served!

Nope, the credit goes to Heather at Swank. Didn’t she do an awesome job?

rach said:

Oh my, I’m very sorry to hear about your unfortunate incident with your grandparent’s dog. It must have been a scary experience.

I also think shopping is great exercise. :)

Thanks for sharing. My feast is up too.

tiggerprr said:

Wow, are you totally scared of dogs now? I bet that terrified you!

Baby Bug is a wonderful smooshy faced miracle! :)

Shopping is great exercise, I just wish I could do it more often! :)

Christine said:

Even little dogs can be dangerous. Baby Bug is the cutest little miracle! :)
My husband and I were talking about Paula, and wondering if there is something really medically wrong with her. If she was in a bad accident. The first night I saw her on AI, her hairstyle was like some kind of sheepdog. The next night she had it pulled back! She looks horrible.
Love your new design. Heather and Laura did an excellent job! :)
