What is one of your Christmas traditions?

When I was a child, my parents used to let us open one gift on Christmas Eve. I’ve continued that tradition with my daughter.

Soup
Who is the easiest person on your list to buy presents for?
Girlie Girl, of course. She wants everything!

Salad
What is your favorite Christmas scent?
Vanilla Bean from Bath & Body Works

Main Course
If you could give a fellow blogger a Christmas gift, who would it be and what would you give them?

If money were no object, I would fly all my blogger friends to Hawaii so we could have one big party! Although, Sam, that means you would have to get on an airplane! LOL!

Dessert
What’s something on your Christmas wish list this year that you need (not just want)?

I honestly can’t think of anything I want, let alone need. Every year when DH asks me what I want, I have no idea!

Nice feast. :) We also open one gift on Christmas Eve. A trip to Hawaii would be a wonderful gift! We really enjoyed Maui when we were there for a friend’s wedding, and plan to go back in the future.

Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas!

I used to let my kids open one gift on Christmas Eve, too. It was years later when they realized they always got a new pair of pajamas. (So they look good in the pictures next day..lol.)

Great Feast and Merry Christmas!

In that case, I think I could make myself get on an airplane LOL! That would be so much fun! I’ll have my friday feast up tonight when I come back to work :) You only open ONE gift on Christmas Eve? We open all our family gifts on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day is reserved for Santa and taking time out to spend time as a family and realize what the season is all about :)

Oh my GOSH! Our main courses are SO similar!!! WOW!

My kids have always opened one gift on Christmas Eve…. I’ve been trying to BREAK this tradition for almost a decade now — but they always win! And we always do it! I think part of the tradition (for them) has become thinking up reasons why I should LET them open a gift a day early! LOL!

Have a very Merry Christmas!!!

I LOL’d at your soup! I miss it being that easy! I was out shopping with Ashlyn yesterday and I wished to her that she was still little enough to buy toys for. She told me I still could, just not the ones for little kids. Hehe

Great feast! My parents had the same tradition with opening one gift on Christmas Eve and I’ll probably continue that with my BabyBoy when he’s old enough. Also love your salad. LOL.

Merry Christmas!!

My parents let us open one gift on Christmas Eve too. I loved the anticipation of waiting until the next morning for everything else! Then we started opening our gifts after midnight mass, then it sort of evolved into before dinner…not nearly as fun as when you’re a kid!

What is one of your Christmas traditions?
Compromised traditions. When DH was a kid, Santa came while they were at Church on Christmas Eve and they got to open all their gifts when they got home from Church. When I was a kid, Santa came on Christmas Eve. So as a compromise we open the gifts from eachother on Christmas Eve and Santa comes while we are sleeping and we get to open those gifts on Christmas Day. I also make us a nice Christmas dinner with Cherry Cheesecake!

Soup
Who is the easiest person on your list to buy presents for?
Darly. She makes her list to Santa really early and except for adding stuff in at the last minute she’s easy. DH never knows what he wants, so I have to keep my ears open all year. Then he complains because I get him everything he says he needs. (or the stuff he was intending to get for himself)

Salad
What is your favorite Christmas scent?
Pine. We don’t do live trees. But this year I found a really good pine scented candle.

Main Course
If you could give a fellow blogger a Christmas gift, who would it be and what would you give them?
For all my warm climate blogging friends…I would give them unassembled snowmen!

Dessert
What’s something on your Christmas wish list this year that you need (not just want)?I don’t need anything. Which makes my list hard to do, but I did figure out quite a few wants. Oh, I take that back… I need one of those ring size adjusters to keep my rings from spinning on my fingers and the settings poking me.

Gosh. I can’t think of anything that I absolutely need, either. We must have a really blessed life, huh.

I also love a variety of Bath & Body Works. My son loves their cute, child-friendly foam hand sanitizer.

Your dessert is a nice indication that you are satisfied and happy with what you have.

Happy Holidays!
