Now that I’ve got your attention, don’t forget to vote in Write From Karen’s Photo Contest. I’ve submitted an entry and would really appreciate it if you took a moment to vote for me. I don’t seem to be doing too well.

Anyway, back to the food.
I was out surfing the web when I came across a recipe site that claims to have a better alfredo sauce than Olive Garden.
Are you kidding me? C’mon. That’s a pretty bold claim to make. In any case, I thought I’d post the recipe for you here. I haven’t tried it yet but will soon. If you get a chance to make it before I do, please let me know how it went.
- 1/2 cup sweet butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 12oz. box angle hair pasta
- Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium/low heat.
- Add the garlic, cream, white pepper and bring mixture to a simmer.
- Stir often.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and simmer sauce for 8-10 minutes or until sauce has thickened and is smooth.
- When sauce has thickened add the mozzarella cheese and stir until smooth. STIR FREQUENTLY
- While the sauce cooks, boil noodles for 3-5 minutes.
- Plate pasta on serving plates and spoon sauce over pasta.

Sounds so yummy, but I would probably put on 10 lbs just from being in the same room as that sauce.
Oh, and you got my vote.

Voted for you. Weren’t you in second place, though? I think first was some crazy big number…

Ok, I’ll probably have to try out that recipe. You should post that on my food site.

that sauce needs some parsley and I have some in my garden!
4:07 pm
Well that’s enough to sort out dinner for tonight! I never have any problems cooking anything, it’s more deciding what to cook in the first place.
Cheers

I voted for you!

ROFL - great lead in! I found a site a few years ago that found secret recipes and shared them. I printed out several (one included the OG alfredo sauce) but never got any of them tried. So I really don’t know if their ranch dressing recipe is just like Outback’s or not! Man, now I’m hungry and going to have to go plan some lists….LOL
Hugs,
Holly

Ohhh that does sound good. I just may have to try it!
5:53 am
Well - it sounds good! But I have never had Olive Garden’s - sounds like I am missing out!
I tried to vote for you - BUT it said it was closed. SO sorry.
2:43 am
Do tell after you’ve tried it. I don’t like cream sauce so I won’t be making that anytime soon!
3:17 am
I would have voted for you if i saw this earlier. I have tried that recipe and the only reason it is not better then olive garden is because you have to clean it up yourself afterwards

sounds very rich………… and delicious. Mmm.
(I'll take good care of it.)
