Hey Melissa, I wanted to tell you what I do to balance the vitamin D/sunscreen issue. When my boys are out early in the morning or later in the evening, we don’t bother with sunscreen. They don’t come any more fair-skinned than my younger son, and he has never gotten burned doing this. We ALWAYS wear spf 50 if we are out during peak sunshine hours of 10-4.
Kailani, that is the CUTEST video ever! I showed it to Grayson, and he laughed his head off.

we LOVE the spray on sunscreen. We were at my brothers and decided at the last minute to go to a nearby park…it was so nice to just grab our can of sunscreen and spray us in about a minute and be ready to go play. Course today I used it for the first time on my back (I wore my swimsuit today for the first time this year) and burr that spray on sunscreen is cold going on, but it warmed up quickly.

I bought these insulated water bottle carriers that are a must have in our house. so much easier to carry the water and keep hydrated.

Oh and we keep a neat sheet & camp chairs in the car along side of our sunscreen & hats so we’re always ready for a day out.

That clip is too cute!

We use the spray sunscreen only now. These days you can get Target’s brand for the half the price of the name brand, and if you watch for sales, you can even get 2 for 1 of the Target spray. It’s so much less of a hassle to get it on the kids and is less messy.

OK, that video you made is adorable! LOL

We don’t have access to a pool, but I sure wish we did! So not coming from any personal experience, I’d add to supervise all children who are in the pool- even older grade schoolers.

And make sure our kids wear their helmets when they ride bikes.
(My youngest is just learning to ride without training wheels…so in her case, she also needs knee pads!)
