The View: The Oscars Post-Show

If you didn’t get a chance to watch The Oscars (like me), the ladies at The View had a great recap where they discussed the awards, the nominees, and of course the Red Carpet fashions . . . all in their own unique style. Vanessa Williams joined the group and gave her own opinions on The Blind Side and the impact it had on her as an African American. The best part, however, was watching Sherri Shepperd as she Skyped from Hollywood and gave a brief rundown of her Oscar experience. She is absolutely adorable in that she’s a celebrity in her own right and yet seems to get so star-struck by the other actors around her. I loved it!

Of course, The Oscars wouldn’t be The Oscars without a discussion about who wore what. The ladies had a chance to share their top picks on who looked best on the Red Carpet. Some of these winners were Sandra Bullock, Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, and Demi Moore. This year’s theme seemed to be lighter colors and bun-type hairstyles. I thought Joy Behar was hilarious in this segment. Her outspoken comments and quick wit really added to the entire discussion and I found myself laughing out loud at her observations.

In the end, they all took a turn to rate The Oscars.

Joy: D+
Vanessa: B- (loved the hosts but thought the show lacked of energy)
Elisabeth: A (stayed up to watch the entire show)

THURSDAY, MARCH 11 â€“ Sir Elton John will be sitting with the women at the table and partaking in â€œHot Topicsâ€; Guest – Eric McCormack (â€œWho Is Clark Rockefeller?â€).
FRIDAY, MARCH 12 â€“ Co- Host Kate Gosselin is back and will join the women and the return of â€œThe View: Fashion Fridayâ€ with designer Carolina Herrera.
