The Colors of Fall

I’m currently on an awesome layover in Seattle and the trees have already turned color! It may not be exciting to most people but being from Hawaii, I am always amazed at this beautiful sight. In fact, I even bagged up a bunch of leaves I found outside our hotel to take home for the girls. I must have looked like a crazy person because the people passing by just stared. Oh well . . .
What do you like about Fall?
On another note, why haven’t I heard of Red Mango Yogurt before? I was at the Westfield Southcenter Mall today and came across this delicious treat! OMG! I actually went back again in the afternoon because I had to have more. We need this in Hawaii!

I missed seeing the leaves last year while we were living in Florida. I was so excited to see them this year. I just love this time of year, making apple cider, apple pies, and applesauce with my girls. I love that its the holiday season too. Just warms my heart.
Miss apple picking and fall colors on the mainland…but I love when the winds pick up in Hawaii after a long summer!
How pretty! I’ve never seen the “colors of fall” before…and red mango yogurt? hmmm…I can’t imagine what that would taste like!
I get excited about fall’s colored leaves, too, since we don’t see them around here until much later.
The first time I went on a layover to Boton with NY I did the same thing. While I was collecting leaves in front of the hotel, NY’s crew members were looking at me like I was nuts. Southern California gets a few autumn colors but not like the north or back east.
And hey! I want some red mango yogurt!
BOSTON not Boton!
I also LOVE the fall colors changing!
I have heard of Red Mango yogurt- but have never tried it- I’ll need to check it and see if they have some down here in Texas!
Fall is definitely my favorite part of the season changes. We live in an area with lots of sweet maples that are shades of yellow, orange and red. The best part…..rolling in the leaf piles with my kids. No I take that back…even better is being in a park on a windy day where the leaves are constantly sprinkling down from the trees while you stand under them.
This picture is brilliant! Thanks so much for the share. Enjoy your layover!
Hugs,
Holly
Isn’t Seattle gorgeous in the fall? You’ll have to see it in spring, too, when all the cherry and plum trees are in bloom.
My favorite part of fall is seeing the leaves change colors. It just seems to transform everything!
That’s easy! The weather gets cooler. I love it. It makes me want to stay outside more.
It’s sad to know that this beauty won’t last ! In a few days a naked tree is standing there. (sigh*)
yap the colors are great in fall. what i love most is the gloomy feeling in fall because of the colors and coolness. it’s almost poetic.
Yup, it’s pretty around here! When I drove over the pass 2 weeks ago after flying into Seattle I was sooo tempted to stop and take a million pictures! But I had a cranky son in the back seat and I knew the sooner we got home the better!
Sighs…alas here in Maine it has come and gone! The only leaves left are brown and down! Its a good thing we are the PineTree state so we still have a lot of green around!
your in my neck of the woods! Funny about you picking up the leaves, but you can use them in your fall decorations!
My dad and I took a long drive yesterday doing some errands and we kept oohing and aahing at the leaves and trees.
Have fun!
Oh I love fall. I love the colors and the smells and the relief from the heat. I love apple picking and making pumpkin bread and drinking cider. It’s a good time of year for sure.
Definitely, my “high” for the Fall season is football! Hubby and I just love it. I am a summer person, so when it starts to get cool outside and the leaves change that’s the one thing I can look forward to… I do also love that basketball is starting and the nice clothes, but yeah, football does it!
Amazing moments always last a few time and it is one of those. I always like this season for such scenes. Many of my close friends say me a mad person due to this but I love it and can’t express my joy and feelings.
I think fall is such a pretty season but I also hate that it means winter is coming. It probably is no big deal for you being in Hawaii but for us in Ohio the cold and the snow will be here soon. Yuck!!!
I will say this week we have had highs in the upper 60′s and this is fantastic fall weather for November.
The fire that the trees adopt with their red leaves is definitely a great part of this season, however my favorite aspect is how all the nasty plant life dies off in the woods, leaving them open for exploration.. That was always my favorite thing to do as a child.
I love the change in colors, also! Every year, we just drive around and look at all of the trees and shrubs. I am amazed at how much can change in just a day! This often provides several “cheap” (depending on the price of gas) entertainment opportunities and the chance for hubby and I to get away to just chat.
Beautiful photo! I love the fall colors, and the cool mornings with sunny days.
The colors here in New England are gorgeous this time of year!
I love fall. Our back yard is so full of leaves and my husband and the kid will go out and roll around in it while I take pictures. So great!
i love the change in color during the fall months. i’m in colorado and it’s all around me. i love it!
i’ve never heard of red mango yogurt. is it a store or bought in a grocery store?
I never get tired of fall, the leaves changing colour are amazing!
Fall is my favorite time of year. I tell people that is one of the reasons we don’t live in Hawaii – when they find out my husband is from there and “what the heck are we doing in Chicago!”
I love that you picked up leaves for your girls – what an awesome mom!
As for the yogurt place, I have heard from my cousin how yummy it is! I don’t think there are any in Chicago…I’ll have to check it out next time I am traveling.
As much as I would love to visit Hawaii, I truly enjoy the changing seasons and really enjoy fall. So glad you got to enjoy the foliage!
come back … come back… I have a rake for you and a whole back yard of leaves. I’ll even give you a big bag to carry them with.
That’s a beautiful pictures!!!
Hmm.. What DON’T I like about Fall? ..
The weather, the scenary, the activities around town, the food, the upcoming holidays.. Can you tell how much I love Fall?
I love the fall and the leaves are so pretty!
