I Survived The LASIK!

Just wanted to thank everyone for their well wishes and to let you know that I survived the LASIK surgery. It’s such an amazing feeling to be able to wake up in the morning and be able to see!
The only problem is that my left eye has not healed as quickly as the right one. It’s not painful but more of an irritated feeling. Kind of like having an eyelash stuck in your contacts. I have my second follow-up appointment tomorrow so we’ll see what he says then.
In any case, I’m thrilled that I got through this! I’ll go more into detail later for those who had asked, however, I think that if you’re considering the procedure, you owe it to yourself to check it out. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Once both eyes are back to normal I’ll be around to visit everyone. Hope you all had a great weekend!

Glad to hear things went well, and hopefully both eyes will fully recover in good time. I’ve though about LASIK surgery for awhile now but I still don’t have the courage to go through with it… eek!

I think I’m going to HAVE to look into it one of these days… but the whole thing still just scares the bejeebers out of me! 99 % of the time I hear fabulous success stories… but I still let those 1% nightmares get to me! However… my glasses really do not correct my vision well enough anymore… I’m going to have to do something…

I’m glad to hear that it went well and I hope they can help the last little issue with your left eye. I don’t wear glasses, but I’ve heard from other people how dramatic and exciting the change is after surgery. Congratulations!

Hurrah! That’s so great! I hope the dr will be able to give you some idea of what’s going on with your left eye.
YAY! You should be able to get some relief from your next Doc appt…they had to keep tinkering with DH’s one eye too, but now he’s fine.

Hello – pleased you’re ok. Scary stuff though- don’t think I would want to try it. I’m happy with spec’s though and don’t wear contacts much. I’d be interested to hear how you get on though as the thing that I really don’t know about it is how long it lasts. Is is permanent?

I’ve been thinking about you the last few days. A friend of mine got his eyes done to go into the DEA, and he was amazed! Congrats.
I have been wanting to have Lasik but I’m too scared. My mom had it and it just reversed her vision…now she has to wear glasses to read but can see far away. She said it was her age and that wouldn’t be the case for me.
