Congratulations!

Shhh, can you keep a secret? Well, you won’t want to keep this one!

There’s a new book series out that’s aimed towards tweens – Secret Keeper Girl. This 4 book fiction series explores situations and topics that today’s 8-12 year olds face on a daily basis. This is Dannah Gresh’s, a best-selling Christian author, first attempt at the younger reader market and it looks like it’s going to be a big hit.

“It is so important for parents to connect and communicate with their children during the tween years,” says Gresh. “That’s when kids form their values about issues surrounding sexual activity. With Secret Keeper Girl, we want to encourage moms to talk to their daughters before the world does.”, she said.

This series is about a group of middle school friends who meet during detention and form a club – the Secret Keeper Girls. Their purpose is to support each other through the ups and downs of tween life. Each book focuses on one group member – Danika, Toni, Kaitlyn, & Yuzi.

We received Danika’s Totally Terrible Toss to review. We knew at first glance that we were going to like it. The cover was bright and colorful, the pages were purple and very fancy looking, and the book was written in a diary-type style. It didn’t take long for Girlie Girl and I to finish it and when we were done, we decided to get the rest of the series.

Secret Keeper Girl is definitely something that all moms should read with their girls!

You may purchase your books through their website for $7.99 each.

Win it!

I have a copy of Danika’s Totally Terrible Toss for one lucky winner. To enter:

  • Stop by Secret Keeper Girl before midnight, Oct 11th and view all their products.
  • Then come back and mention in comments what your favorite item is. That’s it!
  • A random winner will be selected and notified on Oct 12th.
  • The winner will then have 3 days to claim their prize.

To earn extra entries, you may do one or all of the following. Each one counts as an extra ticket but you must leave a separate comment for each one.

This giveaway is open to everyone world-wide. Good luck!

I don’t have a daughter and therefore don’t want to take a chance to win away from someone else, but I did want to say what a great idea these books are. Kids face so much these days and form of support they can get has to be a good thing.
