The Valley Island of Maui

Sorry if I haven’t been out visiting lately.

I had just came back yesterday from a San Diego trip and on the spur of the moment we decided to take the girls to Maui for the weekend. DH’s brother just got back from Iraq (YAY!) and we all had dinner at the in-laws last night. It was so nice to see him home safe and sound.

Right now, DH and Girlie Girl are at the pool while I’m sitting in my nice a/c hotel room waiting for Baby Bug to wake up from her nap. Then we’ll join them and have a picnic at Ulua beach. What a great way to spend a summer weekend.

So, what’s everyone else up to today? Hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend!

Yay for your BIL’s safe return. My nephew leaves in a month or so. He should be visiting next week, so I’ll get to see him before he ships out.

    Nice photos!

I’m trying really hard not to be very jealous right now – ha ha. Those pictures are beautiful. There must be NOTHING like Hawaii. *wistful sigh* I only hope I get to go there someday. Sounds like you are having a great weekend! My weekend? Well, my kiddo just left this morning for FOUR LONG WEEKS with his dad. I feel a bit teary-eyed about it of course…but I’ve spent the day cleaning and piddling around my quiet house. too quiet house. (It is nice to know though it’ll stay clean for a while…)
I know Brandon’s having a good time though – he was excited to go.

Oh, you’re killing me with these pictures of Maui. We loved Maui on our honeymoon and would love to go back some day sans the kids. But that would be a few hundred years from now.

Ah, Maui. My favorite place–Kihei/Wailea/Big Beach @ Makena–in the whole wide world.

Please give your BiL my gratitude and thanks for his sacrifice in serving our country. I’m glad he made it home safely.
