Ready for a nap?

Well, looks like my days are going to start getting shorter by 2 hours.

Yup, Kaila has decided that she doesn’t want to take her morning naps anymore. Whaaaaa!

BTW, that’s me crying, not her.

Every morning I looked forward to those 2 peaceful hours where I could surf the blogosphere, catch up on my DVR’d shows, read a book or take MY nap. Notice I didn’t say clean the house? I save that for when she’s awake. ;-)

How old were your kids when they stopped taking naps? If they still take naps, what do you do with the free time?

My oldest is off again on again about naps, but I can usually at least make him take a “rest” for an hour or so. The little guy always takes a nap, but not always at the same time as his brother. So some days I get a nice break and other days none. Like today. None. I go a little crazy on days like today! ;)

I was in college and was bringing up my boys on my own. When they were 4 and 5, they both came up to me, while holding hands ( so cute) and said, “Mom, we have been talking and decided we are don’t need naps anymore”. That was the cutest thing ever. I decided that if they actally talked about this, they must be serious. lol. Awesome memory.

My son was about 13 months old. He was always an “advanced” kid. *eye roll*
