As a person who suffers from allergies (dust, cat dander) I knew the chances of my girls getting allergies were pretty high. And I was right.
Kiana has severe allergies and I still have not yet figured out what she’s allergic to. Every once in a while she’ll break out into hives that are so bad that once the school thought she had chicken pox. It starts with one tiny bump that I usually miss seeing and in about an hour it will spread throughout her arms, legs, and torso. I talked to the doctor about it and we seem to think she’s allergic to ant bites. All it takes is one ant and she’s in trouble.
Luckily, these rashes don’t really bother her except for the itchiness but she’s missed a lot of school days because of it. The school won’t allow her in class since she looks totally contagious, and of course, I don’t blame them. It’s kind of hard on our family since ants are everywhere . . . at home, at the park, at the beach, even at school.
