Pregnancy Update: Week #38

Thank you for all your concern and well wishes over this past week. As most of you know, I had an ultrasound to determine if baby was suffering from IUGR. Turns out that I’m just carrying small and baby is doing fine!
She’s currently 5 lbs 12 oz.
Has a full head of hair
And we even had the opportunity to see her yawn on the ultrasound!
During my follow-up OB appointment, my doctor said I’m still not gaining any weight and not getting any bigger but I am dilated 3cm and baby is in the head down position.
It could be any day now!
She also said that the softness of my cervix is an indication that this is going to be a really quick delivery.
Hallelujah!
With Baby Bug, from the time they induced to the time she was born took a total of only 4 hours. She’s expecting this to be even faster. I just hope I don’t go into labor at home because I may not make it to the hospital in time!
I’ll keep you posted!

Congrats to being almost through! I’m right behind ya! I had to have the same tests done as I’m carrying small too. It’s surprising since I was HUMUNGO with Alex. lol

My oldest sister was fast “deliver-er.” With her first, it was six hours. With the second it was three. When she started labor with the third, her husband raced her to hospital immediately, which was a good call since that baby was born 45 minutes later!
