Happy Birthday Girlie Girl!
Today is Girlie Girl’s 6th Birthday!
Ever since she was born, I’ve been waiting for the day when she’d be old enough to have a birthday party at Lisa Rose’s Tea House. It’s a cute place where little girls dress up as princesses, take etiquette classes, and celebrate with a tea party complete with finger sandwiches. They also put on a little fashion show to show-off their outfits. Every princesses’ dream.
Except mine.
When I told her about having her party there, she said, “Mommy, can we go to Chuck E. Cheese instead?”
WHAT?
Oh well, there’s always next year.

Kailani…bring your ipod…the music they play at the rat’s house gets old very quick. We think that the look is only 20 min long.
It took me about 3 years of trying to get DD to agree to the party idea that I had and she had a blast. She seems to like what was popular LAST year so finding all the stuff for it is an adventure.

You might remember that I took my oldest last summer to a birthday tea party and it was huge success- but she was turning 8. So maybe just wait a year or two!

I can so relate to this. A couple of years ago, we redid Katrina’s room. She was the first girl after three boys. I was looking forward to a room of pinks and purples and fairies…I found the perfect wallpaper, meanwhile she was looking in another wallpaper book. She has beige wallpaper with a baby wildcat border…oh well….
