Falling to Pieces

As we were driving to school, the song “Falling to Pieces” came on the radio.

Kiana: Mommy, how can he “fall to pieces”?

Me: He’s not really in pieces. He’s just really really sad.

Kiana: Why is he sad?

Me: I think his wife or girlfriend left him.

Kiana: *silence*

Kiana: Mommy, I hope you never leave Daddy. I would really miss . . . your iPads.

Multiple iPads? Fancy–I can’t say I blame her.

Oh, my goodness, that was just too funny. I really did LOL at the punchline. Wasn’t expecting it. This definitely has to go into my “Cute Sayings” file.
