As we were driving to school, the song “Falling to Pieces” came on the radio.
Kiana: Mommy, how can he “fall to pieces”?
Me: He’s not really in pieces. He’s just really really sad.
Kiana: Why is he sad?
Me: I think his wife or girlfriend left him.
Kiana: *silence*
Kiana: Mommy, I hope you never leave Daddy. I would really miss . . . your iPads.
