Uh oh…
One year when we were at my husband’s grandmother’s house for Christmas eve, my nephew who was 4 or 5 he opened up all of the presents under the tree while we were eating. Talk about confusion!
Oy! I guess this is probably why I never put ANY of the KIDS presents out until they were in bed Christmas Eve. My brother’s little boy got up one Christmas and went downstairs and opened everything BEFORE waking up Mom & Dad… I would be SO heartbroken! Being the youngest of seven – I learned from my sister’s and brother’s mistakes! LOL!

it’s so funny and so cute! … like they say, be more aware when the child is silent!
so far the presents we got have not been opened yet even with a little toddler around! … but they have all been disturbed, scraped and scratched!

Thats to cute! My kids would go crazy if they saw their presents under the tree already and had to wait.

LOL! That’s why we haven’t put and of the gifts under the try yet. Hee hee!

So funny! We’ve been dealing with similar issues here, too. Although, I’ve started telling Norah “Oh no, that present is for ‘Mimi’ or ‘Pepaw’”, and strangely she remembers–she can tell me who just about every package under our tree belongs to–and she wont disturb someone else’s giift (and poor thing, none of hers are wrapped yet!)

LOL – that is exactly why our gifts aren’t going under the tree until Christmas Eve after the kids are all asleep… I don’t trust any of them, especially Becca though since she’s just starting to understand what this whole ‘present’ thing is all about and has very little self-control yet!
Did you wrap it back up? Or did she get to keep it out and play with it?

I always put the presents out with the tree, dividing them into piles for each family member. I told the non-reading members which pile was theirs. Then came the Rule Of Christmas Presents: You can hold your gift, smell it, shake it gently, and feel it, but if there is so much as a rip in the paper, the presents disappear until Christmas morning. They really had so much fun fondling those presents.

Ha! That is exactly why I haven’t put any presents under our tree yet! She is so stinkin’ cute, I bet you couldn’t even fuss at her for it.

OM! THat is too funny! She has that “oh crap, I’m busted! Let me look cute and try to get away with it” smile!
Yep! This is the first year we haven’t had a gift pulled at enough to get a good peek! So, did you give it to her or did your wrap it back up and make her wait?
lol – I thought I might have that problem with my little girl, instead, she likes to redecorate our tree and my kitten likes to take the bows off all the presents. They will probably be half open by Christmas.

Too too cute!
I am so glad you have photos and a smile. This is a good holiday memory, especially when Baby Bug’s babies repeat it years from now. You’ll sit back and say…been there!!

I guess I’m so thankful that DD has never been one to try to “sneak a peak”. Of course when she was at the age where she might be tempted there was never anything for her under the tree. And now I could put the gifts from Santa under there now and she would be fine with it.
She’s at that fun age for Christmas.

oh yeah, you asked about Enchanted. It was very cute! DD & her friend (ages 8 & 9) loved it! Friend’s little brothers – not so much…her one brother asked “When are the Bad Guys coming?” and then when the evil step-mother did show up he complained cuz she was a GIRL!
But we liked the movie very much…I think that GG will enjoy it too…lots of songs.

Smart girl!
ROFL! I was just sying to John last night that I am surprised that Emma hasn’t opened any presents this year, she did last year though.
That face she is making is priceless!

Oh that little stinker! It’s just too tempting isn’t it? My 10 year has turned into a real snoop this year. While wrapping presents she’d say something like “I think we’re going to get a ….” this year and it would be something we had tucked away somewhere. I tried to tell her that the only one she’s ruining the fun for is herself but she’s 10.
Hugs,
Holly

She’s getting the same “Littlest Pet Shop” that our daughter is!

Wow, you were brave to try putting out wrapped presents, LOL! They wouldn’t have lasted long here. Even the presents I wrap for other people have to be hidden away.
It just kills me to see her sitting there in a T-shirt and shorts while it is so cold here!

Uh oh! I hope Girlie Girl didn’t see that little peek!
Santa doesn’t come until Christmas Eve around here. The boys know they can look under the tree, but they won’t see any of their gifts. It irks them, but too bad! Santa doesn’t come until Christmas Eve – period. *grin*
That is too funny!

There’s a reason kids and puppies are so cute — so we won’t kill them when they do things like this. Good for her!
Oh, you mean it’s too early to open presents?
Happy Holidays!

Ah, the evidence! You’ll have to save this one to show her when she has her own little toddlers.
Oh, that looks familiar! Is she crying in that photo? Shocked? Startled?
What did you do? Did she get to keep it and start playing early or did you re-wrap and put it back??
Merry Christmas!
