A Preschool Thanksgiving Peast

No, that’s not a typo. For some reason Kiana has a hard time saying the “F” sound.

Anyway, last week Kiana’s preschool class had a Thanksgiving party and the parents were asked to donate something small to the celebration.

One child brought yogurt.

Another child brought grapes.

And yet another one brought raisins.

Do you know what we brought? CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!

Oops! No one told me it had to be something HEALTHY!

Oh well, I bet Kiana was the most popular kid in class that day!

Comment Spotlight by Freda Mans:

Sounds like a good time…. and I would hang around the kiddo with the cookies, not the raisins!!

Alex’s preschool had a sign up list with a list of items we could choose from. I brought a rotisserie chicken, but I bet everyone would have preferred the cookies. :)

  5. Well…..you could classify it under the grains category – lol! Plus chocolate should be part of the food pyramid, don’t ya think? LOL

  8. I love it. I’ve seen a constant mix-up/mash-up of healthy and non healthy at class parties. And I’m sure she was the class hero for the chocolate chip cookies!! :D I’m all for balance, but it’s not a party to me if there’s not some sweet indulgence. *wry grin*

  9. Shannon, chocolate is at the TOP Of the food pyramid!!
I don’t care what these crazy teachers say, one cookie per child is NOT gonna hurt them! (Unless there is an allergy). Some people are getting too insane about some of these things… Good for you for being the cool mom! :-)

  10. LOL, a good dessert to balance out the meal!
