A Day at the Park

Today was the annual picnic for the Big Island town that my father grew up in. The kids had a blast as usual. There were games, prizes, shave ice, good food, and friends we haven’t seen since last year.

Now, I’m not really an outdoor kind of girl and the only wind I want is the one coming from my air conditioner. So I wasn’t too thrilled that the winds were blowing so hard that it actually bent the metal poles on two of our canopy tents. The strange thing is that no one else seemed to be having the same problem. We started to feel like we had our very own personal tornado going on.

After 6 hours, we arrived back home tired, sunburned, and sticky. All I wanted to do was get the kids into the bath and put them to bed. They’ll definitely get a good night’s sleep tonight!
How was your weekend?

Okay, we have Girlie Girl and Baby Bug, so what’s the new baby going to be?
It looks like the kids had fun despite the weather. I have to agree with you on the only wind I’m wanting to feel being my a/c.

The girls are getting so big! We had a 4 day road trip over the weekend. We hit Dallas, Glen Rose and San Antonio. It was an adventure that is for sure.

Looks like the girls had a good time. They are adorable.
We have just moved back to Scotland from Spain and this weekend has been a blast doing things we couldn’t do there, like go to grassy parks. My son ignored the swings and slides and just walked around on the grass, he was so thrilled by it. What a hoot.

My weekend was very quiet. The family went off to visit others and Hubby went off to work on several things and I stayed home just browsing and vegging.

Sounds like a fun weekend. Anything that will get the kids to sleep sounds pretty awesome to me!
Oh the things we do for our kids eh?
The memories are so worth it though!

Sure the wind can get to be a real pain here where I live too! – Some people like it but I’d prefer a calm sunny day any time!
Good to hear about your girls and how they enjoying themselves, at least after days like these you can be sure they’ll sleep willingly!
