Keep The Noise Down
On my last flight home I was working in First Class (FC) when these 4 guys came on the plane. From the very beginning I could tell that they may cause a problem because they were being a little loud. Not unruly or drunk loud but a more “having too much fun” loud.
Everything was fine until about an hour before landing. Throughout the flight they were drinking bloody marys and being content with watching the movies. However, once the movies were done they stood up (even though the fasten seat belts signs were on) and started loitering in the aisles and talking/laughing louder and louder. The other passengers were starting to get upset including New York Jets linebacker Bryan Thomas who was also sitting in FC.
The other flight attendant working in FC with me kept telling them nicely to keep it down but they just ignored her. Finally, I had to step in.
Me: Hey guys, could you please keep the noise down? The other passengers are starting to get upset.
Guy #1: (getting right up in my face) And your point is?
Me: My point is that you’re not the only person on the plane so sit down and be quiet! (hoping he wasn’t the type of guy to hit a girl)
Guy #1: (taking another step towards me) OOOoooOOOooo, Kailani said we have to be quiet.
Me: Are we going to have a problem here? If so, I could have Security meet the plane when we land.
Guy #2: (pushing Guy #1 away from me) No, there’s no problem. We’ll make sure he behaves.
Throughout the rest of the flight, Guy #1 kept giving me the eye whenever I walked by. And just to irritate him more, I made sure I walked by every chance I got.
