Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too.
Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your Aloha Friday post link below. Also, please consider linking back to this post so that others can join in, too!
Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
So my question is . . .
When was the last time that your breath was taken away?

There have been several instances recently. Just hoping that it happens a good way tomorrow. If not you may hear me scream.
Each time my toddler reaches a new milestone…like first steps, first words….
In a good way….when I was in beautiful Sedona this summer
When the kids are trying to be daredevils…I tend to hold my breath…especially when they fall.
Honestly? It’s been a while – but I suspect it’s bound to happen again very soon.
Yesterday morning my breath was taken away by the gorgeous sunrise accented by glistening rain. I couldn’t wait to share it with NY.
I can’t even remember!
Hmmm… off hand, I can’t remember (but now that you’ve asked – I am eagerly anticipating the next moment!)
I did a double take on that quote. My son was valedictorian of his high school class last year and used this in his graduation speech.
Oh ny so many times. I guess the first time I seen my children when they were born and my grandchildren. One particular moment comes to mind though is when I saw the glow and smile on my daughter’s face when her dream came true and she was wearing a wedding gown. She glowed! I never seen her so very happy I’m so glad she found her soulmate. She definitely took my breathe away that day. I gave her away to the man of her dreams. What a moment/
My 4 year old daughter always runs with open arms to meet my 12 year old son. They run to each other with open arms. When they meet he lifts her up and hugs her! It’s the sweetest thing to watch. I hope that I get it on video some time.
Positive- a handbag I saw at the Coach outlet store. Negative- a picture of an animal abuser someone on Facebook was trying to id.
Hope you are doing well.
Have a great weekend!
the birth of my grand child
Definitely the last time I was with my boyfriend. Every time I’m sick over at his house, he’s so compassionate when he takes care of me that it truly does take my breath away each and every time
Just yesterday, when we received good news about my MIL’s health, and realized we still have plenty of time with her, and we don’t intend to waste it!
I feel my contribution is a bit different to what has been mentioned so far. Whilst preparing dinner for my little women (aged 2 and 4) last night; I was listening to the evening news. The current (continuing??) conflict in Israel and Gaza was once again splashed all over the screen. I watched footage of children in a hospital being treated for all kinds of wounds. The fear, and confusion on their faces, as they gripped on to their parents, was too much. I looked over my shoulder at my children, safe and content, at the dinner table and counted my blessings….after I got my breath back
I can’t even remember! Guess it’s been a while!
unfortunately when I fell flat on my face in the garden
i remember that so
When my daughter soon to be 6 reads to me – we homeschool and it makes it so worth it
