Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

Well I’m just starting my “do-over” blog & I’ve gotta admit that I’m liking it better this time around. I think the difference is that I’m not as worried about making sure that I blog everyday. So I guess my advice is to not stress & let the posts come as they will. Just enjoy. (yeah, totally what the others have said but I gotta say it my own way! lol)

Don’t be afraid to take a break and live in the real world! The blogging world will always be there. If you’re afraid that taking a breather from your blog means losing some readers (and I’m sorry, it will), who cares? Your real life needs to be priority, otherwise, where else are you going to get blog material?

Interesting question… My neighbor has started reading my blog and wants to start her own so this topic has been on the brain as of late. What I have been telling her is to just figure out what you like and write about it. Be thoughtful with your posts and network as much as possible. I must admit, I am not a networing guru but I aspire to be one day when I can find the time.

Great question! I would say stay out of the bloggy drama and never allow your blog become something that stresses you. It should be something fun and that you love to do. Don’t ever compare your self to another blogger! Thats what makes your blog unique is you! Don’t try to be somebody else.

My advice would be to find something that you really like to do (cooking, reading, sports, etc) and make it your theme. Or if you’re like me, you can always mishmash topics. Read lots of other peoples’ blogs for great ideas, but don’t “borrow” other peoples’ work.

As others have said before, I’d recommend blogging about the topics that you love. Unless you specifically created your blog for a narrow topic range (e.g. Vegetarian Cooking), you should be able to post about multiple subjects as you see fit. And even if you created it with a narrow topic range: You’re the blog creator! You get to say when something is on or off topic!
