One of my favorite events of BlogHer ’11 was the playdate with Mom Central, Infantino, & Step2. These amazing companies rented a gorgeous home on Coronado Island and filled it with lots of fun activities, beautiful decorations, and amazing new products.
Here are some of the highlights:
Decorate a rubber duckie. Since I’m not the most creative person and can barely spell the name of my blog, I opted to just select a pink duck and pose with her instead.
Candybar. There was an amazing Candybar complete with colorful take-out containers to fill to your heart’s content. Some of my favorite items were the gummy butterflies, rock candy lollipops, and lego-shaped sweet tarts. Now, I had every intention of bringing these treats home to my girls but guess how much of that stash actually made it back to Hawaii?
Introduction of new products. While we were there, we were able to check out the various blueprints for Step2′s new Play Kitchens. These blueprints are so super top-secret that we weren’t even allowed to take photos of them. However, we were able to fill-out suggestion cards on some of our favorite and not-so-favorite features of these kitchens.
We also had a demonstration on the Infantino Right Angle Tummy Triangle which is placed at a slight inclined slope to help baby use gravity to develop upper body strength. There’s also a mirror placed on the upper bar to give babies the added encouragement to lift their tiny heads.
Then there was the “Build-a-Gift Basket” station where we could put together our ideal gift pack using Infantino’s new Comforting Play Collection. These cute items include rattles, booties, crib toys, binky holders, and more all incorporating sweet and peaceful looking characters.
And finally we were introduced to the Infantino Sync Comfort Wrap Carrier. Seeing that tiny baby all snuggled and wrapped up made me almost want another baby . . . almost.
My playdate with Mom Central, Infantino, and Setp2 was definitely one of the highlights of BlogHer ’11 and will always bring back fun memories for me. Thank you to everyone who made this event such a wonderful experience for me!
