When people ask me where the locals of Hawaii go to for vacation I always say, Las Vegas baby! In fact, my parents are there about 5 times a year. It’s a running joke in the islands that you’ll see people in Vegas that you would never run into back home.
In the Vegas Bound campaign, VisitLasVegas.com took 100 lucky residents of Cranfills Gap, TX on an all-expenses paid trip to Las Vegas where they filmed the entire experience and posted everything online to share with the world. Their message? Las Vegas is still a great place for family vacations.
When you think of Vegas, you think of gambling. However, there are so many other fun things for the whole family to do. There are zoos, museums, shows, winter activities, hot air balloons, performing arts, and shopping. Oh, the shopping you can do in Las Vegas!
My absolute favorite attration in Las Vegas is the Bellagio Water Show. If you’re there when they’re playing just the right song, it can be a moving experience. And guess what? It’s free! I could stand there all night and watch the water magically dance in the moonlight.
So when planning your next family vacation, why not consider Las Vegas? There’s something there for every one in the family!

I liked the Vegas Vixens trip…a spa trip with shopping sounds just like what I need!
I’ve been there before and did mostly shopping but I also stopped by the Tropicana to see the Titanic exhibit.
we would go for the eats had a friend go out there and tell me about all the food. I loved the videos but that is what we would hit vegas for lol

Did you know that Disneyland is currently installing a Bellagio type water show in California Adventure? I am really excited for that one!

Wow, that looks like so much fun! I thought it was funny when they all saw their hotel rooms and they were all freaking out! Too funny!
I would love to go watch the fountain with my husband for hours and hours. Yeah, we are boring. But the thing I am always trying to do is to see the Blue Man Group, and we have never been able to score tickets when they are in Minnesota. That would be cool.

Awesome! It was so fun to watch some of them walk into the marvelous hotel rooms…they were so fabulous! And I liked watching the video about all the shows…we’d definitely love to go to some of those! And golfing!!! And eating!!! And if we got to take our daughter, she’d love the fountains!!!

My fave part of the video is when the Cranfill Gap girls learn to pole dance like vegas girls because it’s so cool to see them immerse themselves in Vegas and live a little:) If I won a trip to Vegas, I would visit my best friend and her family who live there.

I love the mom-like woman who was in the pole dancing class doing something in Vegas she would never do otherwise. I would leave my baby in the room with daddy and relax in the spa then do a bit of gambling solo.

Wow Indoor skydiving!
We would take the kids to see the Lions at the MGM Grand.
The tour of the hotel rooms is what got me. My husband is DYING to see Vegas, I think it’s overwhelming, but I’d like to see it anyway! So many things to see and do!
I subscribe, and what I would do in Vegas is eat, be with my husband, play slot machines (pennies!) and sightsee.

I loved the lady in the red hat as well as all the shows. The first thing I would do in Vegas is head to the Bellago for their fantastic buffet. The I would visit the MGM Grand and the Paris casinos. I would find a great blackjack table and gamble for a while and then head for the Golden Nuggett for another wonderful buffet. I would then go to Planet Hollywood for another couple hours of gambling and (of course) some more food. I would then visit the Vinirion for a ride on the gondula and some more gambling. I would end my day with watching the show at the Rio and……their great buffet. I eat and gamble my way through Vegas and love to visit there as much as I can. I am now an amputee and can’t visit there as often as I would like (due to medical finances) but I dream of the next visit. Please count me in and ty for such an exciting opportunity.

The funniest one was with the older lady with the red outfit and hat at the honky tonk bar dancing. She looked like she was having a great time.
How funny when they saw the hotel rooms because I know several people who would have the same response. If we went we would eat, eat, and eat!

I liked the Fire Starters video because it was romantic. They seem like such a normal and kind couple. I hope she says yes to the proposal.
If we went to Las Vegas, it would be to just have a few kickback and relax days away from every day life. We would most likely visit the Grand Canyon too…you can’t be so close and not go visit. I’m sure I would check out the shops (I hear they are fabulous) and we would certainly enjoy tasting the wide variety of cuisine that is offered throughout the city.

We would run in the Las Vegan marathon, get a new tattoo, hit up the oxygen bar, and then eat at the awesome raw vegan restaurant there..healthy vegas baby!

I actually am not overly fond of Vegas, preferring quieter, less populated places to roam or historical sites, such as Williamsburg. The videography on the video on the home page was catching though, and I liked the techniques!
Would use this to fly my grandpa to visit my mom… they live so far apart and she misses her daddy lots.

What would I do in Vegas? Gamble, site see, hit a few clubs, see a few shows. Never been there before but have dreamed of going. Its the town that never sleeps…kinda like me. I love the lights and the glitter of it all. Been to Reno many times, not sure if I can compare to the Vegas strip. I’d do more but you said to keep it clean

I liked the fire starters. Last time we went to Vegas we went to the Star Trex experience. Don’t ever go to Vegas in August unless you plan on staying inside.

I liked The Wild Bunch, Ch. 4 because those guys remind me of my dad and his brother. They look like they were having so much fun! If I got to go to Vegas I would eat at one of their really fancy restaurants, see a big show (are Seigfreid and Roy still there?) and win my fortune at the slots!

My favorite video is the one showing them doing all kinds of fun things like sky diving, car racing, and spa treatments because they were all having such a great time. If I went to Vegas, I would do some gambling, get some spa treatments, see some shows, and visit the Hoover Dam.
Hard to choose. If I was to go to Vegas I would run around like a irresponsible parent. I need that!

I liked the Cranfill Gaps video. There are SOOO many fun things we would do in Vegas as I have never been. I would rent a scooter so I could get around while I was there since I am disabled and Have a hard time walking. But I would put up with all the pain just to be able to have this adventure – one I have been wanting to have for quite some time!!!

I liked the videos about the shows. We are going to Vegas for spring break so this gave me some ideas.
I loved the Vegas Vixen episode when they ate at Mon Ami Gabi. The husband being amazed at this napkin being refolded when he returned for the restaurant made me laugh. My husband and I would love to go to Vegas and try our hands at a few poker tournaments. Thanks for the opportunity!

My favorite video was the lady in the red hat dancing.
I know it’s a great town; I used to live there.
I would go see a show and maybe the Richard Petty driving experience.
I liked the video of the Cranfill Gap residents preparing to leave for their trip. I loved the matching Las Vegas T-shirts and the guy with the kerchief on the stick. Having them meet the Blue Man Group and “Elvis” was spectacular contrast from their everyday life.
What would I do in Vegas? Get WARM. Get HOT. I’ve had enough of winter.

My fave scene was seeing the expressions on the tourists faces when they saw the hotel rooms! Priceless, and I would be in awe as well. We have 5 kids, and sadly haven’t had the resources for a nice family vacation in 7 years. This sure would make a great start on a wonderful family vacation!

I like “The Wild Bunch”. No wonder Tommy is so funny, his parents are hilarious. I like when he says he wants to play golf on one of those fancy courses that have “grass and stuff”.
Hubby and I have been to Las Vegas four times. My goal is to stay at each major hotel at least once. I’d love to go back and stay at New York, New York and my favorite thing is to hit the slots (although I’ve yet to ever really “hit” the slots). Not to mention, I love Las Vegas buffets! I’d pack my sweatpants for all the damage I’d do at the buffet lines.

This was to awesome. I think every “good girls” dreams of being a dancer so that was my favorite part. Las Vegas is surreal, you are in a different world. Everyone should have the opportunity to escape reality and visit.

Woo Hoo! I LOVE Las Vegas!! My favorite was the Vegas Vixens!! I’d grab a couple of girlfriends and go have a ton of fun!
I liked how a bunch of ladies went out for man-free fun, and the pole-dancing (heh – forget what the woman said…”Miss I-can’t-do-that sure did that…”). Egads the food shots were to die for (okay, shouldn’t have watched while hungry). Next trip to Vegas, I want to see local nature sites…nice contrast to the man-made glitz.

Awesome Giveaway! The videos are actually quite interesting– just like a reality TV show! The one on the front page drew me in and I was hooked. (Kinda like Survivor!) I like how the families are pretty normal but each person could find something they liked about Vegas, be it the comedy or sushi or buffets! I want there for my honeymoon and loved it! Not only are the hotels GREAT and just relaxing at the pool is wonderful, there really is a whole WORLD of stuff to do in Vegas. If we go back we want to see Cirq De Sol because we regret not going. But Vegas has everything– shopping, spas, food, gambling, amusement parks, museums (I liked the Titanic and Bodies), athletic activities (indoor sky diving, machine guns, everything!), and anything you can imagine. We are going in March so I really enjoyed the videos on the shows.
I loved the video showing that people of all ages can have a blast and let go in Vegas from indoor sky diving, to the nascar experience, to learning to pole dance or just have a spa treatment, Vegas has something for everyone. I just need to really get away and let loose for a while and what better place to go. I haven’t been to Vegas in years but everytime I have gone the saying what happens in Vegas holds true because it is a magical place where you just have fun and forget the world.

My favorite video was Chapter 4 and the visit to the spa at the Bellagio. I have never visited a spa before so I think that is what I would spend the majority of my time doing if I went to Las Vegas. I think I would also enjoy eating at the cool buffets and just walking around seeing all the sites and glitz. I’m not a gambler myself, but it might be fun to watch other people at the tables
I like the first one, sets up the community trip and show the real people some of which have never experienced anything like the Big City Lights of Las Vegas. These are country folks. What would I do in Las Vegas… everything they did. Spa treatments, NASCAR ride along, dinner theater, show tickets, the fountains at Bellaigo. I would even gamble (which I didn’t see them do in the video). I would do so much that I would need a vacation from my vacation when I got home.

My favorite is the Vegas Vixens trip because it looked like so much fun! I would love to shop and have a spa treatment! I have been to vegas once when i was much younger so i didn’t really get to experience it all. I would love to go again with my boyfriend and enjoy a couples massage, sight-see, eat at some buffets, gamble and go see a show or two.
Kept thinking I was doing something wrong, but it just took everything a while to load.

I’ve only gone to Vegas once, BY MYSELF, for a nursing convention. I had a HORRIBLE time. Why? Because I was alone, and it was the NBA All-Star weekend! There was something like 30x as many people as the busiest party days in Vegas. I want to go back so badly, WITH my husband, and NOT on All-star weekend lol The mermaids at Treasure Island were so neat, as was the garden in the Bellagio. Would love to see them again, especially to get out of this endless cold weather!

I loved watching the video of Trent and Kym (the “Fire Starters”) in their suite at Paris and getting a makeover — if I could go to Vegas, I’d want to do the same thing: stay at a lush hotel, spend a day at the Art of Shaving, buy some fancy new duds, and enjoy a great dinner with someone I love, and that video captured the experience well. I probably wouldn’t want to get too carried away with the casinos, so I’d seek out a show or concert to go to to cap the night.
