Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too.

Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My question/statement is . . .

What was your favorite movie of 2010?

What a great question. Mine was Avatar! We went to the IMAX theater and saw it in 3D. It was great! I know it won’t compare on DVD.

There were movies? I didn’t get out much to watch them, so I would have to say Date Night was my favorite out of 3 that we saw last year.

Princess Nagger has been picking all the movies this year, so I’d have to say my favorite is Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Though Legend of the Guardians: Owls of Ga’Hoole is right up there at the top, too. :)

    Mrs EW says:

Although I liked the movie Avatar in 3D, my favorite for 2010 has to be Secretariat. It was such a heartwarming and inspiring movie. We were fortunate to have seen an advanced screening thanks to Kailani, but I would definitely pay to see it again.

My favorite line was in the final scene when Penny Tweedy Chenery (Diane Lane), cheered on rider Ronnie Turcotte and at that crucial moment shouted, “Let him run, Ronnie, let him run!” It was just an electrifying and moving scene as Secretariat began his move, overtaking and bypassing the horses to win the U.S. Triple Crown by 31 lengths. It was just an awesome movie.
