My Thoughts

I was so excited to receive the Bridget Halter Dress by Yala Designs! We have cloth diapers made of bamboo, but no clothes.  Bamboo is soft, absorbent, and fast-drying in the cloth diapering world, but what would it be like as a dress? The dress arrived folded in a small bag and my first thought, as I opened it, was how unbelievable soft the material was. Bamboo feels somewhat like a cotton/silk blend, but softer! As I pulled the dress out of the bag, it magically unwrinkled and was ready to wear.

Thursday night, my husband took me out for my birthday and, with the warm weather, I knew exactly what I would wear! I was very comfortable, just like I’d feel wearing a normal outfit. The difference was how beautiful I felt. The Yala Designs Bridget Halter Dress is perfect for a special occasion or just out as a family. I feel like I could wear it just about anywhere.  It would also be a great post-pregnancy dress since it isn’t tight and is light. You cannot tell from this picture, but the back of the dress buttons so, you can wear the straps crossed over or straight down, depending on which style you prefer. Believe me, the picture does not do justice to the dress. It is gorgeous!

As I looked around the Yala Designs website I found several other reasons to purchase goods from them besides the fact that their products are wonderful! They are also a green business, making use of recycling, green shipping methods, solar energy, and environmental friendly fabrics and dyes.

My Thoughts

I have seen reviews for Costume Discounters in the past and they were all positive. I couldn’t wait to give them a try myself! Iordered the Elite Little Bunny Costume in a Toddler Size Large (18mo-2T)! The costume comes complete with a zip-up jumpsuit with floppy ears, cotton tail, plush carrot and booties! I love dressing Mr. Liam up in costumes and, just looking at this costume, I could tell it would be absolutely adorable.

This is about the best picture I managed to click of the little man, who was not at all happy about the impromptu photo shoot right before nap time. Liam has a disorder that makes his head abnormally large so, I am always worried about hats, and costumes fitting properly, but this costume fit perfectly! There was actually plenty of room so, this will fit him for months to come, maybe even for Halloween, too! Big Brother (4 yrs old) had to try on the bunny ears and it was roomy enough to fit his head also.

The costume was, by far, the softest costume I think we’ve ever gotten! It’s warm for the cool spring and fall months, but breathable kids don’t get overheated. In the pictures you don’t see the cute little booties so, I took a picture. They are so cute and a bit big, which made them easy to slip over his shoes. In addition, the costume came with a cotton carrot, too. It was so soft, Liam kept hugging it and saying, “Awww”!

We were very impressed with the fast shipping and the costume itself. After ordering, we received it only a few days later, packaged very well. I love AVEENO products and was so excited to receive a huge package full of goodies! Included were:

I already had the Nourish+Shine Shampoo, which I already loved, but the Conditioner really complemented the results and made my hair not only shiny, but very soft. I recently had my hair dyed and, for the first time in over 3 years, had over 8 inches of my long hair cut off! Gasp! My new haircut is wonderful, but definitely requires some extra time and energy. The AVEENO® Nourish+ Style products are perfect to bring out the life in my hair and my new style!

My favorite product is the Nourish+ Style Volumizing Foam. Just apply evenly to damp hair and blow dry. I used a round brush to not only volumize my hair, but to add some curls. In only a few minutes my hair was no longer flat and looked wonderful. The Smoothing Shine Cream is also a great addition, especially for women with hair prone to frizz. My sister-in-law has very curly hair, but straightens her hair so, the Smoothing Shine Cream was perfect and left her hair looking silky. I used the AVEENO® Nourish+ Style Soft-Hold Gel-Crème for my bangs that are always trying to go where they want. This held them in place without that slick gel look. You could barely tell there was anything in my hair holding it in place.

I also tried was the Nourish+ Style Curl-Defining Spray Gel. Spray some on your damp hair, scrunch and get ready for those curls. You can blow dry while scrunching or I choose to pull my hair up loosely into a bun for the night. The next day the gel has set those curls in place. I love having curls occassionally, which was impossible before now. People always ask if I’ve had a perm or wave put in my hair, but I love telling them it was AVEENO! Lastly, you can use the Condition Leave-In Treatment after washing the products out of your hair to help nourish damaged hair. Spray it on, go to sleep, and see how soft and shiny your hair looks in the morning!

I loved all of these products and was, as always, very pleased with AVEENO. I’m honestly not very big on doing much to my hair and don’t like to take much time. The Nourish+ Products really made my hair look like I’d spent much more time on my hair than the 5 minutes it really took. I highly recommend these products!
